The Melbourne Stars will be able to field a strong playing XI with most of the players back after Covid isolation and Siddle would look for a good show from his players to win this game.  

The side would look for a positive start at the top from Matthew Short and Henry Hunt who did well in the last game. Ian Cockbain played well, and he would aim at adding quick runs with Jake Weatherald and Jonathan Wells in the middle overs as Stars would have a strong attack for this game. With Thomas Kelly, Henry Thornton, and Harry Neilson to follow they have good hitters of the ball.  

Their bowlers put up their best show so far in the last game with Short and Harry Conway bowling good lines with the new ball. They would have to come up with similar efforts in this game. Maxwell played a match-winning knock in the last game and he would look to set up a good opening wicket partnership with Joe Clarke. Joe Burns, Beau Webster, and Hilton Cartwright add strength to the middle order and the side would expect to see a good show from them in this game. Nick Larkin and Brody Couch shall look to do the quick-hitting towards the end of the game.

They have a full-strength bowling attack, and the side would like to see early strikes from Sam Rainbird and Haris Rauf for this game.
