In the second T20I, Afghanistan registered a 21-run win over Ireland, courtesy splendid performances from Asghar Afghan, Mujeeb Ur Rahman and wicket-keeper Rahmanullah Gurbaz. With this win, Afghanistan has already sealed the series and are 2-0 up in the three-match series. Afghanistan will be keen to continue their winning ways in this dead rubber.
On the other hand, Ireland will be looking to salvage some pride in this contest. Skipper Andrew Balbirnie will be hoping that the senior players can deliver the goods with the bat and ball in this series finale.
Asghar Afghan-led unit will not be making any changes to their playing for the final game of the series. The side will need to guard against complacency and keep their focus against Ireland on Tuesday.

The visitors will need to raise their overall in order to avoid a possible whitewash at the hands of Afghanistan. The bowling unit has failed to create enough pressure on Afghanistan’s batting lineup in this T20I series. In the previous game, pacers Joshua Little and Boyd Rankin conceded a lot of runs and failed to make breakthroughs with the new ball.
For Ireland, medium-pacer Craig Young bowled well and finished with 1 for 27 in his full quota of overs. Chasing 185 runs to level the T20I series, Paul Stirling and Kevin O’Brien perished early while trying to go for big runs in the initial overs.
All-rounder Kevin O’Brien scored 19 runs off 11 balls with the help of one four and two sixes. Captain Andrew Balbirnie and Harry Tector put on a 49-run partnership to provide a glimmer of hope for Ireland.
Andrew Balbirnie produced valiant innings for the side and scored 46 runs off 35 balls with the help of five fours and one six. Middle-order batsman Harry Tector also chipped in with handy innings of 37 runs off 29 balls with the help of three boundaries and one six.

With weather expected to be a little gloomy, the surface is expected to favor the batsmen rather than bowlers. The slow bowlers might get some help from the surface.
Greater Noida Sports Complex is going to host the third and final game between Ireland and Afghanistan. Ireland’s last win against Afghanistan came in the ICC T20 World Cup Qualifier game played in 2013.
With the surface expected to remain the same, batting first on this surface will be way to go in this contest. Average score at the venue is around 150 to 170 runs.
With the convincing performances in back-to-back matches, Afghanistan will be expected to complete a whitewash over Ireland.
With likes of Asghar Afghan, Rahmanullah Gurbaz and Najibullah Zadran have contributed with match-winning performances, Afghanistan will be confident of putting in another strong performance with the bat.
