Australia Women to win this game
Tournament: India Women tour of Australia, 2021 | Format: ODI | Venue: Harrup Park, Mackay, Australia | Toss: To Bowl
Bet NowAustralia Women have taken an unassailable 2-0 lead in the series after their brilliant run chase in the 2nd ODI. In a game where the Indians looked favorites till the very last moment, the hosts pulled off one of the best run chases in recent time. This lead would give them immense confidence going into the next game. Indians would have to fight it hard to win this game.
Australia Women come into this game with their confidence high. The side has won the last 26 games in a row, and they have defeated opponents comprehensively. It remains to be seen if the Indian bowlers can live up to the expectations in this game against a strong Australian batting line-up.
Meg Lanning would be proud of the way her side went about chasing the score in the last game. In a battle that seemed lost after the side suffered early losses; they rose to the challenge. With the series already in their bag, Lanning would be aiming to whitewash the Indians going into the Test Match.
Beth Mooney would be confident after her century in the last game and shall look to start well with Alyssa Healy. In the middle order Lanning, Ellyse Perry, and Ashleigh Gardner failed in the last game and runs would be expected from them here. Tahlia McGrath and Nicola Carey set up a match-winning stand in the last game and make the line-up strong.
Darcie Brown and Perry went for runs in the last game and the side would like to see a better start from them in this game. Gardner, Sophie Molineux, and Carey bowled tight spells and the same would be expected from them. With Hannah Darlington and McGrath in the attack, the side has good bowling options.

It was so near and yet so far for Mithali Raj’s side in the 2nd game. They had put runs on the board and put Australians on the backfoot in the early overs. But the side ended up losing the game off the final ball failing to hold on to their nerves. The side would look forward to winning this game and restoring lost pride.
The opening pair of Smriti Mandhana and Shafali Verma looked good in the last game, and they would need to put up a good show. Raj and Yastika Bhatia haven’t looked at their best and they must improve their scoring rates in the middle overs. With Richa Ghosh, Deepti Sharma, and Pooja Vastrakar down the order, the side has good depth in this department.
Jhulan Goswami and Meghna Singh have done well with the ball and the side would need a good start from them with the new ball. It is however the form of Poonam Yadav and Deepti Sharma that would be worrying the side. They must bowl tight spells for the side to win. Rajeshwari Gayakwad and Vastrakar shall need to play the supporting act well in this game.

The skies would be mostly clear over Mackay on September 26 in the morning, and we expect to see a good game of cricket. Fast bowlers are likely to find some assistance with the new ball and batters would have to be watchful early in the game. A score of 275 runs or more would be a good total on this surface.
Harrup Park, Mackay has small boundaries and a lively surface where the fast bowlers have enjoyed bowling. The wicket aids bowlers early in the game but batters who get themselves set have scored runs in the past. There is little on this surface for the spinners and they must use their variety to do well.
In the two games played so far at the venue, we have seen the side chasing the score win the game. There is early movement on offer for the fast bowlers and the track gets easier to bat on in the second innings. The side winning the toss here should have little hesitation in bowling first.
India Women would be under pressure especially with the way they lost the last game after looking in a comfortable position. Their bowling attack seems to lack teeth right now and it would be a big challenge for them in this game. Australia Women look at the top of their form with their batters scoring runs in both the games, and this would make them favorites to win here.
