Tahlia McGrath and Nicola Carey set up a match-winning stand in the last game and make the line-up strong.

It was so near and yet so far for Mithali Raj’s side in the 2nd game. They had put runs on the board and put Australians on the backfoot in the early overs. But the side ended up losing the game off the final ball failing to hold on to their nerves. The side would look forward to winning this game and restoring lost pride. 

The opening pair of Smriti Mandhana and Shafali Verma looked good in the last game, and they would need to put up a good show. Raj and Yastika Bhatia haven’t looked at their best and they must improve their scoring rates in the middle overs. With Richa Ghosh, Deepti Sharma, and Pooja Vastrakar down the order, the side has good depth in this department. 

Jhulan Goswami and Meghna Singh have done well with the ball and the side would need a good start from them with the new ball. It is however the form of Poonam Yadav and Deepti Sharma that would be worrying the side. They must bowl tight spells for the side to win.
