Bangladesh’s recent ODI record of winning seven successive ODI series at home ended after England beat them by 132 runs in the second ODI at Dhaka. With the win, England took an unassailable 2-0 lead in the three-match ODI series. The third and final ODI of the series will be played at Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium, Chattogram, on 6th March from 2:00 pm IST.

Tamim Iqbal will open with Litton Das at the top. Tamim showed a good signs of form after coming back from an injury. He has 273 runs in the last 7 ODIs at an average of 45.50.  He is also Bangladesh’s leading run scorer against England, with 546 runs in 16 ODIs. Litton Das hasn’t clicked in this series. Das has scored 7 runs in 2 ODIs. Looking at his form last year (577 runs at an average of 52.45), he can be the key to Bangladesh’s revival in the last ODI.

Shakib al Hasan will play the role of an anchor in the middle. In 16 ODIs against England, Shakib scored 465 runs with a century and 3 half centuries. He also has 16 wickets at an economy of 5.12. Shakib will get help from Mahmudullah. Mahmudullah has scored 63 runs in two ODIs so far. His recent record in ODIs has been very consistent. In 2021-22, Mahmudullah scored 809 runs in 27 ODIs at an average of 50.
