Skipper Nigar Sultana (40 & 15 runs), Shamina Sultana (36 & 15 runs), and Murshida Khatun (32 runs) played good cameos but failed to convert it into a big total. Their batters will need to bring their best performance to post a good total against Sri Lanka.

Sri Lanka played superbly to win the opening match by 3 runs. Chamari Athapaththu lead the batting line-up with 68 runs off 50 balls and Vishmi Gunaratne gave good support with 35 runs at the other end. No other player scored a ove 10 runs and they ended their innings with 129/4 in their 20 overs. 

Their bowlers restricted the opposition to 126/8 to win by 3 runs. Oshadi Ranasinghe (2/20) and Inoka Ranaweera (3/18) were superb with the ball picking up wickets in the middle overs. Sugandika Kumari hele her nerve during the crucial last over and had figures of 4-0-28-2. Achini Kulasurya and Ama Kanchana bowled decently in powerplay economically.
