ICC Women's T20 World Cup is off the mark for the eighth time this year. Bangladesh and Sri Lanka are in the Group A alongside New Zealand, Hosts South Africa and Defending Champions Australia. Both teams ended their campaign in the first round itself in the previous tournaments and will be eager to go ahead to the knockouts this year. Sri Lanka beat hosts South Africa and will look to win this match to get confidence and momentum ahead.
Bangladesh batters scored below par totals of 101/7 & 131/8 in their 2 warm matches. Skipper Nigar Sultana (40 & 15 runs), Shamina Sultana (36 & 15 runs), and Murshida Khatun (32 runs) played good cameos but failed to convert it into a big total. Their batters will need to bring their best performance to post a good total against Sri Lanka.
Nahida Akhter, Marufa Akter, and Rumana Ahmed picked wickets regularly and bowled pretty economically in the warm up matches. Jahanara Alam and Salma Khatun will open the bowling attack for the Bangladesh. Ritu Moni and Marufa Akter will add depth to their line-up.

Cape Town is one of the placid track where bowlers will have an upper hand as the match progresses. We will have bright and sunny weather on the match day with no rain expected.
Cape Town will have true bounce and carry that will be enjoyed by the batters and we expect the target to be above 180 runs. Batters will find it tough to chase on this pitch.
Both teams will look to bat first as this pitch might slow down as the match progresses and batters find it hard to chase the target.
Sri Lanka will be high on confidence after winning their opening match against South Africa after an inspired performance by their skipper. They have a good track record against Bangladesh. Bangladesh too have been very inconsistent and need to bring their best game in this match. We expect Sri Lanka to win this match.
