Thailand Women would face heat as they take on the Bangladesh Women in the 7th game of ICC Women’s World Cup Qualifier 2021. Bangladesh Women come into this contest with a massive win over United States Women and the side would be high on confidence. On the other hand, Thailand Women went down against Pakistan Women in a game that they should have won easily.

Bangladesh Women’s batting line-up is in great form and the side posted 322 runs on the board in the last game. They have a good bowling attack, and this would add tons of confidence in the camp. Thailand Women also have players who showcased their talent in the first game, and they are likely to put up a stiff fight here.

Bangladesh Women Preview

Jahanara Alam has replaced Nigar Sultana midway in the tournament. But the side has stamped its authority and recorded its biggest win ever in the last game against United States Women in a one-sided show. Having put up 322 runs on the board they ended up winning the game by 270 runs. Sultana would like the side to maintain the same momentum and earn a berth in the next round with a win in this game.

Sharmin Akhter scored a brilliant hundred in the last game, and she would like to set up a good platform opening with Murshid Khatun who also made runs. Sultana and Fargana Hoque have runs under their belt and make this middle order strong with Rumana Ahmed. With Ritu Moni and Lata Mondal in the side, Bangladeshis have good firepower in their batting.

Alam and Salma Khatun bowled brilliantly with the new ball, and they would like to start from where they left in the last game. Ritu Moni and Nahida Akter would enjoy these conditions as it suits their style of play. Rumana Ahmed, Fahima Khatu and Lata Mondal are good bowlers, and the team would fancy its chances with this attack against Thailand.

Bangladesh Women Predicted Playing XI:

Jahanara Alam (c), Nigar Sultana (wk), Fargana Hoque, Nahida Akter, Rumana Ahmed, Sharmin Akhter, Fahima Khatun, Salma Khatun, Lata Mondal, Murshida Khatun, Ritu Moni

Thailand Women Preview

Skipper Naruemol Chaiwai would like to forget the disastrous batting performance in the last game against Pakistan Women. Having dismissed the Pakistanis for 145 runs the side made a mess of the chase bundling out for 93 runs losing the game by 52 runs. They would have a tougher challenge against Bangladesh Women and Chaiwai would want her batters to deliver in this game.

Sornnarin Tippoch and Nattakan Chantam missed out in the last game and the side would need a better show from them. They would need partnerships between Wongpaka Liengprasert, Onnicha Kamchomphu and Chaiwai in the middle order as their opponents have a strong bowling attack. Runs would also be expected from the likes of Nannapat Koncharoenkai and Nattaya Boochatham down the order.

Chanida Sutthiruang and Nattaya Boochatham bowled brilliantly with the new ball in the last game and the side would need a repeat performance to win here. Thipatcha Putthawong is doing well and her fifer in the last game would add to her confidence. With Tippoch, Onnicha Kamchomphu and Suleeporn Laomi bowling good lines the side would look to do well against the in-form Bangla girls.

Thailand Women Predicted Playing XI:

Naruemol Chaiwai (c), Nannapat Koncharoenkai (wk), Sornnarin Tippoch, Wongpaka Liengprasert, Nattakan Chantam, Thipatcha Putthawong, Chanida Sutthiruang, Nattaya Boochatham, Rosenan Kanoh, Onnicha Kamchomphu, Suleeporn Laomi

Weather Conditions

There are predictions for cloudy skies over Harare on November 25 and we expect batting conditions to be tricky. It is a slow surface at this venue and the ball stops on the batters. Any score above 230 runs is a good one on this track and can be defended with good bowling.

Venue Details

Harare Sports Club, Harare is a large ground, but it has a fast outfield. The wicket is slow but batters who rotate the strike have done well at this venue in the past. There isn’t much on this wicket for the fast bowlers once the ball gets old. Spinners tend to enjoy the conditions as the slowness on the surface aids them.

Toss: To Bat

The wicket is here is slow and it aids the spinners especially as the track wears down in the second innings. In the past, we have seen most teams prefer to bat here upon winning the toss. The same trend is expected to continue and the side winning the toss would look to bat first and put up a big score.

Thailand Women would have to come out of the defeat in the last game. It was inexperience and nerves that cost them the last game. The side would have to play according to the demands of the situation and not get intimated by the opponents. Bangladesh Women have their tails up with two consecutive wins. Their batters are in excellent form and the side would start favorites in this game.
