Man of the Match: Manish Pandey
Will the Panthers register their first win in the tournament?
Our Prediction is Bengaluru Blasters to win this match!
Both teams Belagavi Panthers and Bengaluru Blasters are currently placed in the bottom half of the table and they will need to win more matches to stay in contention for playoffs. Every loss will reduce their chances of qualification to the next stages of the tournament.
Belagavi Panthers team is yet to register their first win and is languishing at the bottom of the points table with just 1 point. Belagavi panthers suffered a heart-breaking loss against the Hubli Tigers in their last match. Skipper Manish Pandey returned to the team and set the stage on fire with a brilliant century. No other batsmen crossed the 20-run mark and Manish single-handedly took the total to 180 runs. Their bowling unit failed in the crucial moments of the chase and allowed the opposition to chase down the target in the last ball. Zahoor Farooqui had a bad day and gave away 45 runs in his 4 overs and failed to take even a single wicket. Shubang Hedge and Stalin Hoover bowled well to get wickets in the middle overs and never allowed opposition any momentum in the chase. Avinash D had a good outing until the last over where he failed to defend 11 runs. He made a big error of bowling a no-ball in the last over and it was dispatched for a six by Praveen Dubey which turned to be a decisive moment in the match.
Bengaluru Blasters has been the most affected team by the rain gods as their entire four-match results are impacted by the VJD method. Sharath BR, Rohan Kadam, and Nikin Jose have played small cameos of the 20s and 30s but are yet to score a fifty till now. They scored just 93 runs in their last match against Bellary Tuskers in 16 overs. Their bowling unit made the chase tough for the opposition to reeling at 55/5 before rain interrupted the match. Bharath Dhuri and Manoj Bhandage took 2 wickets each and kept their team in the hunt in the chase of a meager total of just 93 runs. Anand D built pressure with dot balls and had an excellent bowling spell of 3-0-8-1 and maintained the scoring pressure consistently. They were lucky to win the match by one run as per the VJD method the last match.

The last match produced just 148 runs for the loss of 13 wickets and spinners were troubling the batsmen with the slow nature of the pitch. The rain made an appearance in the 3 PM matches too last time. We expect scattered thunderstorms on the match day and VJD equation to play a role in match result.
Three out of last 4 matches have been won by teams batting second and we hope the trend to continue in this match too. Rain interruption may further tilt the match in the favor of chasing team.
Bengaluru Blasters have a better bowling unit than the Belagavi Panthers and have produced good consistent performances so far in limited opportunities. But, the Panthers have a solid batting line-up courtesy of Manish Pandey and look to trouble the Blasters bowling unit in this match.
We expect Bengaluru Blasters to win this game!
