Barbados Royals have a big challenge at hand as they take on the Trinbago Knight Riders in the 23rd game of the Caribbean Premier League 2021. The Royals come here with a big win against the Guyana Amazon Warriors, but the side has played poorly in the tournament so far. The Knight Riders are in good form and defeated the Jamaica Tallawahs by a big margin the last game. 

The Barbados Royals have suffered due to the inconsistency of their key players. After seven games the side has managed only two wins so far. Jason Holder’s side did register a 45-run win against the Guyana Amazon Warriors in the last game, but the side has performed poorly in the tournament. They have won only two out of the seven games they have played and look in poor shape. Holder would want his players to take inspiration from their win in the previous game and do well here.  

Johnson Charles and Kyle Mayers did well opening the batting in the last game and a similar show would be required from them. In the middle order Smit Patel and Azam Khan have struggled, and the side would like to see better efforts from them here. Glenn Phillips looks in good form and he needs add runs with Holder and Raymon Reifer down the order. 

Mohammad Amir has done well in the tournament, and he would look for good support from Holder sharing the new ball with him in this game. The side would need tight spells from the likes of Reifer, Ashley Nurse, Jake Lintotto and Nayeem Young as the Knight Riders have a very powerful batting line-up.

Trinbago Knight Riders Preview

Kieron Pollard would be happy with the kind of show his side has put up in the last two games. The defending champions come here with a massive 75-run win against the Jamaica Tallawahs. They had earlier registered a massive win against the Barbados Royals and Pollard would like his side to take inspiration from than win. 

Lendl Simmons has done well, and the side would be expecting a good start from him and Leonardo Julien in this game. The middle order packs good firepower for the side with Colin Munro, Pollard and Darren Bravo in the side. They would also like to see runs from Sunil Narine and Tim Seifert down the order in this game. 

Ali Khan and Akeal Hosein bowled splendidly in the last game and the pair would like to get early breakthroughs with the new ball here. Narine is troubling the batsmen and he would look to make good use of his experience in this game. With Ravi Rampaul and Khary Pierre in the squad, the side has a strong bowling attack.
