Bet NowThere’s a stark difference in the number of games Chattogram Challengers and the other teams have played. They’ve played five games already while only two others have played four. The Chattogram Challengers have made full use of these back to back games. They’ve gathered some nice momentum and are on a winning roll. They started with a win before stumbling to a loss against Khulna Tigers. But from then on, everything has gone their way. The Chattogram Challengers have brushed aside Rangpur Rangers and Sylhet Thunder while chasing and then racked up a big score against Dhaka Platoon to consolidate their position at the top of the points table (eight points).
Meanwhile, Comilla Warriors haven’t done too badly either. They have won two out of their three games so far and they have come alternately. They started off with a thumping win over Rangpur Rangers as they beat them by 105 runs but lost the second game by 20 runs. They hunted down 182 with two balls to spare.
The Chattogram Challengers batting has been good so far. The only game they failed was when they made 144 and lost. Apart from that, there’s hardly been any other failures. The West Indian duo of Chadwick Walton and Lendl Simmons have done really well and have contributed big time. They have amassed 153 and 127 runs respectively and both of them average in more than 40 and are also striking in excess of 130 in this tournament. Imrul Kayes has been excellent as well and is leading the run charts for the Chattogram Challengers this season. He has scored 163 runs at an average of 40.75 and has a strike-rate of 140.51. After a couple of low scores, skipper Mahmudullah also struck a fifty which puts them batting in good shape.
The bowling attack has hunted as a pack. Mehedi Hasan Rana has been the leader with the ball, picking up eight wickets. He averages 9.87 and has an economy of just 6.58. Nasum Ahmed, Kesrick Williams and Muktar Ali have five wickets apiece and have been crucial to the bowling attack.

Soumya Sarkar and Dawid Malan may not have big scores of the fifties to their names yet in this tournament but they are the leading run-getters in this season for the Comilla Warriors. Sarkar has scored 102 runs while Malan is leading the charts with 107 runs. Moreover, their strike-rates are very good too.
Skipper Dasun Shanaka delivered when the team was in trouble in the first game. They will expect more from the likes of Sabbir Rahman and Bhanuka Rajapaksa in the upcoming games. Surprisingly, it’s Sarkar who is the highest wicket-taker for the Comilla Warriors this season. He has picked up five wickets, exhibiting a great all-round show.
Mujeeb Ur Rahman and Al-Amin Hossain have four wickets each and have done very well. The former, in particular, has been excellent. He is conceding runs at a mere 4.27 runs per over. Abu Hider Rony and Sunzamul Islam have been on the expensive side but have chipped in at times.

The Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium in Chattogram has produced some very good batting tracks and it has aided shot-making in this tournament. Three games have seen scores of more than 180 being scored in the first innings. This is an evening start and it is expected to be a clear day. The temperatures will hover around the lows 20s.
The Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium in Chattogram is a popular venue for international cricket and also, the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) and will host this leg of the BPL till the 24th of December. This is a high scoring ground and the average score batting first at this venue is 180 this season.
The trend in white-ball cricket is to chase and this tournament has been no different. Eight out of the 12 games so far have been won by teams batting second and at this venue, three out of the four games have seen teams chasing emerge victoriously. Both captains will want to field first.
Chattogram Challengers seem to have the upper hand at the moment. They are on a roll and have found that winning momentum as well. They have won defending and chasing as well.
