They were a win short of standing a chance of making it to the preliminary Quarter-Finals in the last season of the Vijay Hazare Trophy. A winning start to the season here would put them on the right track this year.

The opposition has some quality batting but has struggled with consistency and with a strong bowling attack skipper Bhatia should be looking to pounce on the opposition in this opening game at a low-scoring venue in Jaipur.

The squad information available on the teams so far doesn’t show some of the key names from last season such as Sumit Ruikar and Ravi Kiran. These two were consistent with wickets and helped the team defend 226 runs against Goa.

Shubham Agarwal, Mayank Yadav, and Sourabh Majumdar are still in the squad and will be the key bowlers to watch out for. With the bat, the skipper is the main impact player in this side.

The opening duo will be crucial in this game to set the tone in the powerplay and lay a good foundation for the likes of Anshul Gupta and Rajat Paliwal to build on in the middle-overs.

All of these 4 looked in great shape and will be the key batters to watch out for. Like the opposition, Services too have a few changes in their bowling attack this year. 

Mohit Kumar and Arjun Sharma should be leading the attack while Nitin Yadav can make some handy contributions with his part-time. Pulkit Narang hasn’t been exceptional and at times quite expensive.
