Northern Knights are in a precarious position and any further slip up will see them bowing out of the tournament earlier. Tim Seifert, Bret Hampton, and Daryl Mitchell are the top run scorers for the team and need to play a big role in their batting order. Presence of all-rounders Anton Devcich and Scott Kuggleijn give depth to their batting and bowling units.
Brett Randell is their leading wicket taker with 9 wickets this season. Ish Sodhi, Anurag Verma, Nad Daryl Mitchell aere amongst the wickets column consistently but they need to control the run flow to strangle the opposition batsmen.
Daryl Mitchell – Mitchell is having a good season with 151 runs at a strike rate of 150 and 8 wickets with the ball. His only issue will be his economy rate of 10 RPO so far. He will look to put up some more good performances in this season.
Tim Seifert – Seifert has 218 runs at a strike rate of 138 with 2 half-centuries so far. He has scores of 35, 30, 54, & 75 in the last 4 matches and is going through a purple patch with the bat in hand.

Christchurch will have a bright and sunny climate on the match day. We will have a full quota of overs without any interruption in this match.
Hagley Oval pitch will have true bounce and pace in it and pace bowlers will enjoy bowling with the new ball here. We can expect average scores of around 150-160 here.
Super Smash 2020 has 11-6 records in favor of batting first so far and we expect the captains to bat first in case of winning the toss here.
Northern Knights have star players in form Daryl Mitchell, Scott Kuggleijn, Tim Seifert, and Ish Sodhi who has the experience of representing the national side. Canterbury lacks big names and experienced players in their squad and they also have an inconsistent bowling attack this season. We expect Northern Knights to win this match.
