Experienced bowlers took the side to their first win this season and would like to build on this momentum and register their second win in this game.  

Mathews needs to do well at the top, opening the batting with Niroshan Dickwella, who did well in the last game. The side would need a good show from its middle-order trio of Charith Asalanka, Ravi Bopara, and Navod Paranavithana. Down the order, they have good hitters in Dinesh Chandimal, Karim Janat, and Dominic Drakes, who need to put the long handle to good use.  

Suranga Lakmal and Dominic Drakes need to bowl good lines with the new ball, as the side would expect early wickets from them. Naveen-ul-Haq looks good, and he will need to bring his experience to play. They have various bowling options in the bowling department and would like to see Bopara, Jeffrey Vandersay, Karim Janat, and Mathews pitch in with good spells.

Galle Gladiators Preview

The Gladiators would feel the heat with two consecutive losses. Kusal Mendis needs to lead from the front as his side has lost both games by big margins and come here with a 5-wicket loss against the Kandy Falcons. The side has underperformed with the bat and the ball. The skipper would look for an energetic show from his players.  

Kusal Mendis needs to do well at the top and set up a big opening wicket stand with Thanuka Dabare. In the middle order, the side would need good performances from Azam Khan, Nuwanidu Fernando, and Iftikhar Ahmed. Movin Subasingha, Imad Wasim, and Wahab Riaz are good hitters who need to do well in this game.  

Nuwan Pradeep and Wahab Riaz need to bowl well with the new ball, as they haven't put opponents under pressure in the early stages. Imad Wasim needs to use the conditions and bowl well in the middle overs with Nuwan Thushara. They will also need good spells from Pulina Tharanga and Iftikhar Ahmed.
