Tournament: CSA T20 Challenge 2019 | Format: Twenty20 | Venue: Boland Park, Paarl, South Africa | Toss: To Bat
Bet NowThe 22nd game in the CSA T20 Challenge 2019 is expected to be a cracker of a contest. Cape Cobras who have done well this season would be taking on the Titans at Boland Park, Paarl. Titans come into this game with just two wins in seven games and have seen three of their games getting washed way. Cape Cobras, on the other hand, has been in good form winning four out of their seven games so far.
In head to head encounters, Titans have a great record against the Cape Cobras and have dominated them over the years and never lost against them at Boland Park. It will be a close contest between the two sides in the next game where Cobras would have to play out of the skins to win it.
Their last game against the Knights has washed away and this puts Rory Kleinveldt’s side in a comfortable position in the points table. A win in the next game against the Titans would assure them of a semi-final berth and the skipper would be looking forward to winning this game.
In their last game against the Warriors Jason Smith, David Bedingham and George Linde performed well with the bat. Linde nearly took the side home with his heroics. Janneman Malan has scored in previous games but the side would be worried about Hashim Amla's form as he hasn’t been able to live up to his reputation. Overall the side has good batting strength with someone like Vernon Philander towards the end. The last game they played the side bowled poorly. Apart from Vernon Philander who picked up his fifer, there wasn’t much to tack about their bowling. The likes of Rory Kleinveldt, George Linde and Tladi Bokako will need to check the flow of runs and they can’t afford to bowl too many loose balls in the game.

Farhaan Behardien’s side would have been upset with their last game against the Warriors being washed away. After lackluster performance so far in the season coupled with some bad luck, they are struggling in the points table. The side will need to win the next game to keep up its dream of playing in the semi-finals of the season.
Henry Davids and Tony de Zorzi have done well for the team this season and did well against the Dolphins in the last game that the side had won. Theunis de Bruyn has undoubtedly been the best batsman this season and he makes the batting order look really strong. With players like Grant Thomson, Jonathan Vandiar and Farhaan Behardien they have good finishers in the line-up.
The side hasn’t bowled well this season and has been handicapped by the poor performance of their main bowler Junior Dala. The team would expect him to bowl well and also wish to see good performances from Shaun von Berg, Eldred Hawken and Gregory Mahlokwana who have been leaking runs.

The skies are expected to be clear at Paarl on April 24 which would be a welcome relief for fans and both the teams with rains having played spoilsport in so many games. It is expected to be a good batting track and the side batting first would need to score in excess of 170 runs to win.
Venue
The wicket at Boland Park, Paarl has been a good one for T20 cricket. The pitch offers some assistance to the fast bowlers as long as there is some moisture on the surface. The ball also comes onto the bat nicely and allows batsmen to hit through the line.
It will be a dry surface at Boland Park and good for batting initially. There are chances of this track slowing up slightly as the game progresses. Given this scenario, the side winning the toss would like to bat first and put up a huge score on the board.
The Cape Cobras have had a wonderful run in this season so far. They have won four of their seven games and are almost there in the semi-final. The season hasn’t been quite the same for Titans who have had only two victories despite playing well in most of the games. They have a strong batting lineup and had defeated the Cape Cobras earlier in the season. Going into this game Titans would be just nose ahead of the Cobras and favorites to win this one.
