Dhaka Platoon is led by former Bangladeshi skipper Mashrafe Mortaza. Tamim Iqbal, Mominul Haque, and Shuvagata Hom are the local Bangladeshi players available in the batting department. They have a rich vein of foreign players in the form of Shahid Afridi, Thisara Perera, Asif Ali, Shadab Khan, and Laurie Evans. Wahab Riaz will join Mashrafe Mortaza once he completes his duties at MSL league currently.

Shahid Afridi and Shadab Khan are expected to make a good spin-combo in their team especially in favorable conditions. They have a good mix of all-rounders to choose from which could give their team a great depth.
