The Kolkata Knight Riders made a strong comeback in the last game as they defeated the Punjab Kings to keep their hopes alive for the rest of the season. The side now has a steep challenge as they take on the Delhi Capitals in the 25th game of the season. The Capitals suffered a narrow loss against the Royal Challengers Bangalore and have to come out of this to win their next game. 

The Delhi Capitals have had an excellent record against KKR in the last few seasons where they have won four out of the five games between the two sides. They would look to keep up with the same momentum here. KKR who are under pressure at the moment shall look to turn the tide in its favor. With good hitters in both the camps this game promises to be an interesting one.

Rishabh Pant would be heartbroken with the loss against the Royal Challengers Bangalore in the last game. In what seemed like a spirited run chase the side went down by 1 run to suffer their second loss of the season. Pant would have to put this loss behind and focus on winning the next game that can take them up on the points table. Their recent record against KKR has been good and Pant would like to continue with that. 

It was a rare failure for Shikhar Dhawan in the last game and he will look to provide the side with a good start in company of Prithvi Shaw. Middle order looks rock solid with Pant, Steven Smith and Marcus Stoinis. Shimron Hetmyer played a blinder in the last game and the side has good punch in the batting with Axar Patel to follow. 

Their bowling attack looks slightly weak at the moment and the side would need toght spells from Kagiso Rabada and Ishant Sharma with the new ball. Amit Mishra has to bring his experience to play and keep the run rate under check with Patel. Avesh Khan and Stoinis complete a good bowling attack for the side.

Eoin Morgan’s side has reignited hopes after their 5-wicket victory against the Punjab Kings in the last game. The win came at the right time as the side was low on confidence. But the side has no chance to relax and has to play well against Delhi. Morgan would like to use this momentum and want his side to earn its third win of the season. 

Openers Shubman Gill and Nitish Rana haven’t given the ideal starts so far and a good show would be expected from them. Morgan’s return to form is great news for the side and he would have to steer the innings along with Sunil Narine and Rahul Tripathi. Dinesh Karthik, Andre Russell and Pat Cummins are good hitters of the ball and they shall look to make use of the long handle well in this game. 

Pat Cummins has been expensive and the side would be looking for a good performance from him in this game. Shivam Mavi and Narine bowled well and shall carry that confidence forward. It was good to see Prasidh Krishna get wickets and he has a very important role to play. Varun Chakravarthy has bowled tight lines and the same would be expected from him in this game.
