Delhi Capitals have qualified for playoffs for the first time after 2012 but they would like to have a second chance in playoffs but qualifying in top two positions in the table. Delhi Capitals lost to CSK by 80 runs the last match and their NRR took a huge beating. Shikhar Dhawan and Skipper Shreyas Iyer are the best batsmen for the team so far scoring runs consistently. Prithvi Shaw and their foreign middle order recruits are having a quite tournament with the bat. They need to step up show their value to the team. Rishabh Pant has been blowing hot and cold and is very inconsistent with the bat. Their premier bowler Kagiso Rabada missed the last match due to niggle and is expected to be back in playing XI this match. Chris Morris and Axar Patel are the bowling all-rounders in the team and are expected to contribute both with the bat and ball. Ishant Sharma and Amit Mishra complete the bowling line-up and are very effective so far. 

Rajasthan Royals have a forgetful season with more losses than victories. They are practically out of the tournament but still in contention mathematically. They were unlucky to miss out on 2 points the last match after holding the RCB for just 63 runs in 5 overs shootout. The batsmen Liam Livingstone, Sanju Samson, and Ajinkya Rahane are batting beautifully in last 2-3 matches and putting up quick runs on board during the power play. Riyan Parag has been an excellent find for them this season and has performed well both with the bat and ball. Shreyas Gopal has been their best player and he took hat-trick last match with the wickets of Virat, AB, and Stoinis. Shreyas Gopal has done well to register his name in India`s cricketing fraternity. Varun Aaron and Oshane Thomas form the pace bowling attack for the team. Ajinkya Rahane or Sanju Samson may take over the captaincy for Steve Smith, who left for national duties.

Shreyas Iyer – Iyer has scores of 58, 52, 4 & 44 in last four innings and is going through a purple patch. He will look to bat responsibly and contribute more to the team. His captaincy too has been impressive this season. 

Axar Patel – Axar is having a good season with the ball and has taken 9 wickets so far.  He has been the most economical bowler for DC with an economy rate of 7.3 RPO. His ability to contain the batsmen in middle overs puts pressure on the opposition.
