Bet NowThe second round of league games in the IPL 2020 is nicely set up. Delhi Capitals would be taking on the Rajasthan Royals in the 30th game of the tournament. Delhi Capitals that has played well so far lost the last game against the Mumbai Indians and is now in the second spot on the points table. Rajasthan Royals on the other hand ended their four-match losing streak with a win against the Sunrisers Hyderabad which has come in at the right time for the side.
Delhi Capitals have clearly dominated the Rajasthan Royals in the last few seasons winning four out of the last five games between the two sides including one earlier this season. For the Rajasthan Royals the form of their top order is a big concern as their Top 4 haven’t really fired in the last few games. It will be interesting to see if the Royals are able to even it out against the Delhi Capitals in the next game.
Shreyas Iyer’s suffered a 5-wicket loss against the Mumbai Indians in the last game. With Rishab Pant forced to sit out with an injury the team had to rework on its playing XI which didn’t click for the side on this occasion as they went down. Iyer would look forward to another win against the Rajasthan Royals in this game having already defeated them earlier in the season.
With the bat Shikhar Dhawan and Prithvi Shaw are in good form at the top and they will be expected to deliver yet again in this game. In the middle order Iyer has been rock solid in all the game so far. Ajinkya Rahane and Marcus Stoinis bring in lot of experience to the table. The side would also look to leverage the depth in its batting line-up with Axar Patel, Alex Carey, and Harshal Patel known for their big hitting capabilities.
With the ball Kagiso Rabada and Anrich Nortje have been bowling well and the side would be looking at them to provide the side with early breakthroughs in this game. Axar Patel has gained form and this will add to the side’s confidence Ravichandran Ashwin and Marcus Stoinis bring in lot of experience to this bowling attack and together they will make it tough for the Rajasthan Royals’ batting.

Steven Smith’s side comes into this game after a thrilling win against the Sunrisers Hyderabad. Smith would be extremely happy with his lower middle order which pulled off a win from the jaws of defeat in the last game. However, the side still has problems with the form of its top order and this is one of the things they will need to fix as they meet an in-form Delhi Capitals in the next game.
The new opening pair of Ben Stokes and Jos Buttler failed in the last game it is high time they need to fire. The dip in form for Steven Smith and Sanju Sampson also is also hurting the side at the moment and they will have to play rock solid in the middle order. The performance of Riyan Parag and Rahul Tewatia will give the side lot of confidence. With Jofra Archer and Robin Uthappa to follow, the side has good firepower down the order.
It has been a great season so far for Jofra Archer with the ball. With Shreyas Gopal bowling well, the pair would look to inflict early damage on Delhi Capitals. Jaydev Unadkat’s indifferent form with the ball is a problem for the side at the moment and he will need to improve on his form. With Karthik Tyagi, Stokes and Tewatia in the side, the captain has many bowling options.

It will be clear skies over Dubai on October 14 and the conditions would be hot at the start of the game. The track has played as far as batting is concerned as the ball comes on to the bat nicely allowing batsmen to play their strokes. There is little margin for error as far as the bowlers are concerned and the side batting first would have to make a score in excess of 170 runs to win here.
The large square and straight boundaries at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium doesn’t allow the batsmen to hit boundaries but the pitch is a perfect one to bat on where the ball comes to the bat nicely. Fast bowlers have struggled on this surface but the spinners are able to use the large outfield to their advantage here.
Winning the toss and batting first seems to have become the winning formula in the last few games in the IPL. The pitches have got flatter that has allowed the sides to dominate the games with the bat. Hence, we believe that the side that wins the toss is likely to bat first in this game.
Rajasthan Royals are back in the tournament with a win in the last game but this game would be a bigger challenge for them. Their batting line-up has so far looked in poor form especially at the top. Delhi Capitals are coming into this contest with a loss but the team has so far looked really good this season. They have a batting line-up in form and their bowlers have also done well. Add their excellent against the Rajasthan Royals and they would start favorites in this game.
