We are into the business end of the Tamil Nadu Premier League, 2021 Dindigul Dragons would be up against the Lyca Kovai Kings in the Eliminator game. Both the sides come here winning their respective games and they would be high on confidence. The Dragons defeated the IDream Tiruppur Tamizhans while the Kovai Kings won against the Nellai Royal Kings. 

The two sides had met earlier in the tournament where Dindigul Dragons had registered a convincing win. The side would like to take inspiration from that win and put themselves in the Qualifier. It would be a good contest as the Lyca Kovai Kings too have a strong bunch of players. There would be pressure on both the teams, and we expect this game to go down the wire.

Hari Nishanth’s side had dropped in form with two consecutive losses, but they made a statement in their last game against the IDream Tiruppur Tamizhans winning the game by 6 wickets with three overs to spare. They had defeated the Lyca Kovai Kings earlier in the tournament and shall take inspiration from that win.  

Hari Nishanth has been in good form, and he shall look to provide a good start in this game along with Suresh Lokeshwar. Mani Bharathi has looked rock solid at No 3 and he shall aim to set up partnerships with Rajhamany Srinivasan and RS Mokit Hariharan. R Vivek played a blinder in the last game and adds depth to this line-up with M Silambarasan and S Swaminathan. 

Rangaraj Suthesh and M Silambarasan are in good form with the ball and the side would like to see a good show from them in this important game. Lakshminarayanan Vignesh has been leaking runs and the side would need him to deliver the goods in this game. Nishanth, Swaminathan and Vivek add variety to this attack.

Lyca Kovai Kings Preview

After two consecutive losses, Shahrukh Khan’s side delivered in a crucial game against the Nellai Royal Kings winning it by 7 runs. They batted well to put up a big score on the board and defended it successfully in the end. Khan would like to see better efforts from his middle order and bowlers as they go into this do-or-die contest. 

Ganga Sridhar Raju and Suresh Kumar batted brilliantly opening the batting in the last game and similar efforts would be needed from them. Khan would be confident after his match-winning knock in the last game but look for runs from Sai Sudharsan, Atheeq Ur Rahman and U Mukilesh who went out playing poor strokes. A good show would also be expected down the order from S Ajith Ram here. 

N Selva Kumaran and Abhishek Tanwar were expensive in the last game and the side would like to see better lines from them. U Mukilesh has been a standout bowler for the side with his tight spells and he would have to bowl well in the middle overs along with Ajith Ram and Valliappan Yudheeswaran.
