Dehli will be out to make sure the recent batting collapse was just a one-time thing as they come to Anand to face Jammu and Kashmir. Ayush Badoni’s hundred was what took Delhi to 143 runs total in their last match.
It could have been worse had Badoni lost his wicket sooner. Jammu and Kashmir were also bowled out for under 150 runs in their last outing. But that wasn’t the only time they failed to make an impact.
In their previous match against Karnataka, J&K were bowled out for 180 runs while chasing a massive target of 403. The top 4 of the batting lineup is where most of the batting strength is for both these teams. And their form will be crucial for their win here.
Priyansh Arya and Anuj Rawat will be hungry for runs after back-to-back failures at the top. A solid opening partnership should set Delhi far ahead in the contest and on track to a big score.
It was at this venue Delhi bowled out Mizoram for 128 runs and chased it down in just 17 overs. While the skipper Yash Dhull will be considering bowling first if they win the toss, he should also be backing his top-order including himself at number 3 to deliver big partnerships if they are to put to bat first.
Himmat Singh, Ayush Badoni, and Lalit Yadav pack a strong punch in Delhi’s middle order and will be the ones to watch out for. Nevertheless, it’s not as easy to bat on this surface and bowlers should enjoy their time here.
Ishant Sharma, Harshit Rana, and Suyash Sharma are the key wicket-takers in this bowling attack.

Jammu and Kashmir will be searching for their first win of the season. Vivran Sharma will play a key role at number 3 in this batting lineup. He will need his skipper and opener Shubham Khajuria to play a bigger role in the top order.
These two need to make bigger contributions and get J&K off to a good start. Keeping wickets in hand until halfway through their innings will also be crucial to reach a bigger total.
At number 5, Abdul Samad is another promising batter who can play the long ball and make some quick runs at the death. He scored 40 off 33 in their last match against Chandigarh at number 6.
Henan Nazir bats at a crucial position in the middle-order and his inconsistency can cost J&K dearly. In the lower order, Yuvdhir Singh Charak showed promise with a quickfire 64 off a 39-ball knock in their season opener.
However, J&K have lacked a consolidated effort from the batters and that has put them on the back foot every time.

The weather will be mostly sunny with a high of 27 degrees Celsius. It is a balanced pitch that offers great help for the bowlers as well. Uttarakhand scored 275 runs batting first in the last game on this ground.
However, it was against a weaker bowling attack and having already failed to do well in the previous outing. Overall, the conditions are quite challenging for the batters and the pitch will offer a great contest between bat and ball.
The match will be played at the ADSA Railways Cricket Ground, Vallabh Vidyanagar, in Anand. The venue is ideal for chasing a target as the pitch offers help for the bowlers early in the game. We reckon a 260+ total will be a match-winning score in the 1st innings.
Delhi have won two of their 3 games chasing a total while J&K have been on the backfoot every time they bat first. As a result, both captains would prefer bowling in this match.
There are issues in the batting department, particularly in the top order of both teams. However, Delhi looks much stronger than Jammu and Kashmir considering their overall squad strength and particularly their bowling attack. As a result, Delhi will start as favorites in our match prediction.
