Captain Alex Wakely decided to rebuild the innings for Northamptonshire and put on crucial partnerships with Adam Rossington and Jason Holder to keep the side in the hunt to win the game. Wakely chipped in with 66 runs off 79 balls with the help of five boundaries. He was well supported by Adam Rossington, who scored 43 runs off 36 balls with the help of two fours and a six.
