We are almost there and can nearly smell the play-offs as they are so close to coming into sight in the UAE!
It has been a very strong ILT20 this season with players joining up from other T20 franchise leagues at various times over the last few weeks. But even with the chopping and changing of squads, one thing which has remained constant is the high level of play that has been on show.
No team has been stronger than Desert Vipers who are already guaranteed to win the group stage and will take part in Qualifier 1 on Wednesday. Funnily enough, they could be up against Dubai Capitals once more who have recovered from losing three of their first four games this season to now end the season on something of a role - another win for them in this match would see them come out on top in five of their last six!
So, this could be a rehearsal for Wednesday's Qualifier 1, and could even also be a rehearsal for the final of the tournament next Sunday so there is all to play for on Monday.

Under the captaincy of Lockie Ferguson, Desert Vipers have been exceptional with nearly no let-ups during this campaign and they cruised to another comfortable win on Wednesday when they defeated Gulf Giants by five wickets with six balls remaining in Match 24.
That result was all the more impressive as it came after their hugely surprising 154 run defeat to MI Emirates only two days earlier. But the Vipers certainly looked like a team who want to forget everything that happened in that fixture and have eyes only on the main prize!
Against the Giants, Sam Curran and Wanindu Hasaranga starred with the ball, taking three wickets each and with the Sri Lankan spinner returning exceptional figures of 3/10 from his full allocation of four overs.
With the bat, Max Holden comes into this clash after hitting 70 not out from only 54 balls in the last game!

After reaching the final of this year's Big Bash League and hitting the second highest number of runs in the tournament, David Warner arrived in Dubai with his confidence sky-high and wasted no time in transferring his numbers into the ILT20 when he hit 93 not out from only 57 balls in his first appearance of this campaign!
Unsurprisingly the aggressive Australian left-hander took the Player of the Match Award as the Capitals triumphed by 26 runs against Abu Dhabi Knight Riders and he could well be the key for the team if they are to beat the table-toppers once again.
Expect Warner to be well supported by his three team-mates in the top four - keeper-batter Shai Hope, Gulbadin Naib and Rovman Powell. Whilst the bowling is likely to rely on Dushmantha Chameera and Obed McCoy for breakthroughs.

The temperature will be nothing too hot on Monday with nothing over 22 degrees by the time the game gets underway at 18:30 local time. Humidity will increase slightly as the evening progresses but will not be a particular factor at any stage.

High TurnAfter Tom Banton hit 84 not out and Tom Kohler-Cadmore struck 91 not out in the last fixture at this venue, we expect to see another batter friendly surface with a par first innings score of around 180.
Fielding first and then chasing has been the way to succeed in this year's ILT20 and so we predict that both captains will come into this game with the plan of bowling first if they win the toss.
This looks like being an excellent game and should prove to be an excellent advert for the play-offs which lie ahead in this tournament. David Warner has already made Dubai Capitals into a stronger team and we expect them to push the Vipers all the way before ultimately ending up on the losing side.
