Australia batsmen will be devastated after losing the match from a position of strength. Openers Davis Warner (58 runs) and Aaron Finch (46 runs) started off in a strong note with their 98-run partnership. Marcus Stoinis never got going while the rest of the batsmen fell around him as Australia were reduced to 160/7 from 98/0.

Ashton Agar and Pat Cummins brought the game under control after Buttler`s early assault. Glenn Maxwell bowled superbly for his spell of 3-0-14-2 to restrict the English middle order. Kane Richardson too bowled superbly in death overs to contain the run flow. Adam Zampa`s 17th over cost 22 runs which proved to be a costly mistake for the team.
