ECB had to name a revised squad for the upcoming one-day series against England after three players were tested positive for covid-19. The squad led by Eoin Morgan has been advised to quarantine and will not participate in the ODI series. Instead, Ben Stokes has been named captain for the limited-overs. Seven uncapped players have been named for the three-match series.

England Preview

Daniel Lawrence, Brydon Carse, Tom Helm, Will Jacks, Phil Salt, Zak Crawley and John Simpson have earned their maiden call-up to the national side for the three-match series.

In the batting department, the side will be relying on Dawid Malan, Phil Salt, Ben Stokes and James Vince to deliver the bulk of the runs.

Dawid Malan and Phil Salt have are coming into this series on the back of decent performances in the ongoing T20 Blast competition. James Vince has endured a poor run with the bat and will see this call-up as an opportunity to showcase his talent with the bat.

Captain Ben Stokes will be hoping that the side can deliver a disciplined performance in this opening clash.
