The Eagles won a thriller against the Birmingham Bears and will aim for a berth in the final for the first time after 2019. Hampshire Hawks defeated the Worcestershire Rapids in a one-sided game to reach here.   

The Hampshire Hawks have a good record against the Essex Eagles and have won the last five out of six games against them. They won both league games against the Eagles, which will make them confident. The Eagles have a poor record in the semifinals and must come up with an excellent performance to stop the Hawks.

Simon Harmer's side defeated the Birmingham Bears in the quarter-final by 2 wickets. It was a close game where the tail ensured the side got over the finishing line. They are up against the defending champions and have a poor record in the semifinals. Harmer shall like to see his players play to their strengths and not be overwhelmed by the occasion.   

Daniel Lawrence played an important knock in the last game, and he will look to set up a big opening-wicket partnership with Adam Rossington. The middle order failed in the last game, and they will need a good show from Michael-Kyle Pepper, Feroz Khushi, and Paul Walter. Matthew Critchley, Daniel Sams, and Harmer are good hitters who make it a strong batting line-up.  

Daniel Sams and Sam Cook must bowl good lines as they will face a strong batting line-up in this game. Harmer and Paul Walter bowled well in the last game, and the side will need a good show from them. Daniel Lawrence, Critchley, Aaron Beard, and Shane Snater add variety to this attack.

Hampshire Preview

James Vince's side have gained form in the most important stage of the tournament. They crushed Worcestershire Rapids by 5 wickets in a one-sided quarterfinal. They bowled well to restrict the Rapids to 100 runs and chased it clinically. They had defeated Essex in both league games this year, and Vince would like to see his players draw confidence from those wins.  

Ben McDermott and Vince would look to deliver a good start in this game, as both players have done well. The middle order has looked good, and the side will expect runs from Toby Albert, Joe Weatherley, and Ross Whiteley. The side has depth in its batting and shall expect quick runs from James Fuller, Liam Dawson, and Chris Wood.  

The bowling attack will feel confident after their excellent show in the last game. Chris Wood and John Turner will look to deliver early breakthroughs in the game.
