Bet NowCPL 2019 has started to gather attention among the Caribbean people and they are expected to flock in bigger numbers in the matches taking place at the weekends. All the teams will be looking to sort their best combination and fix their best XI soon.
Guyana Amazon Warriors is the unluckiest team in the CPL history as they failed to win the finals in 4 editions (2013, 2014, 2016 & 2018). They started the campaign with a victory in their opening match against St. Lucia Zouks by 13 runs.
St.Kitts & Nevis Patriots did not enjoy a good opening match as they failed to chase down the total against defending Champions Trinbago Knight Riders. They will look to set their record straight with a win in this match.
Both teams will fight it out in a jam-packed stadium.
Guyana Amazon Warriors put a good score of 155 runs on board in their first match against Zouks. Shoiab Malik and Shimron Hetmyer got good starts with 20+ runs but failed to make a big score. They will look to utilize their starts in this match. Keemo Paul and Chris Green shared a brilliant attacking 48-run partnership in the end overs to finish off the innings with a flourish. Their spin duo of Chris Green and Shadab Khan spun a web around the opposition batsmen sharing 5 wickets between them and gave away just 44 runs in their quota of 8 overs. Young speedster Romario Shepherd impressed everyone with his hostile spell of 4-0-18-2 and is expected to make a good mark in this tournament. All-rounders Keemo Paul and Ben Laughlin did not have a good outing with the ball leaking too many runs at the start and death respectively.
Key Players:
Chris Green – Chris Green had an all-round performance in the last match with a crucial 15-ball 28 and two important wickets at the top to seal the match in their favor. He also claimed the Man of the Match award in that match.
Nicholas Pooran – Nicholas Pooran is an impressive young batsman who can play the big shots. He was dismissed for a duck in the first match but will look to showcase his talent in this match.

Patriots never looked at ease in the chase against the Knight Riders in their opening match eventually losing by 11 runs. Evin Lewis played a good knock of 36 runs at the top and gave a good start to the chase. Mohammed Hafeez and Kjorn Ottley were not able to time the ball and struggled to pace their innings with a lot of dot balls. They suffered a middle-order collapse from 70/1 to 76/5. Fabian Allen and Usama Mir put a brave fight with the bat but was not enough to take their team home. Earlier, Sheldon Cottrell and Alzarri Joseph started the match with 3 wickets inside the powerplay overs. Skipper Carlos Brathwaite did not have a good day at the office with a spell of 4-0-34-0. Ryad Emrit took 3 wickets in the end overs but failed to control the run flow. Patriots will look to stabilize the middle order with Laurie Evans in place of Mohammed Hafeez in this match.
Key Players:
Fabian Allen – Fabian Allen played a superb counter-attacking knock of 30 runs off 14 balls with 4 sixes. He came when his team was struggling at 76/4. He did not get support from another end during his stay in the crease.
Sheldon Cottrell – Sheldon ‘Salute’ Cottrell showed his class with match figures of 4-0-13-3 bowling in the powerplay overs. His early wickets did not allow the opposition to have a good start in their innings.

Guyana Pitch is expected to favor the bowlers more than the batsmen and we expect scores in the range of 160-170 runs in this match. The pitch gets slower as the match progresses. The weather looks bright and sunny and we can expect a full match with no interruptions.
Teams batting first has won both the matches played so far this season and the pitch becomes tough to bat as the match progresses. So, both captains will look to bat first here.
Warriors have a good head-to-head record over Patriots and they also have more experienced players like Pooran, Hetmyer, Malik, Keemo Paul, and Shadab Khan in their team.
We expect the Warriors to win this match!
