Devdutt Padikkal will lead the side and look to start from where the side had left last season. They are the defending champions, and Padikkal would like to make an impressive start to the season. They face a tough opponent, and the Mystics' skipper must lead the side from the front and take them to victory.  

Devdutt Padikkal and Srinivas Sharath form a strong opening combination and must set a platform at the top. L Chethan must do well in the middle order and build partnerships with Macneil Noronha and Abhilash Shetty. Aadarsh Prajwal and Mohammed Aqib Jawad add firepower to the batting in the lower middle order.  

They are up against a strong batting line-up, and the team will need breakthroughs with the new ball from Vyshak Vijaykumar and K Appana. Shaun Joseph and Hardik Raj must bowl tight spells in the middle overs. They will also look for a good show in the supporting role from Prajwal, Shetty, and Mohammed Aqib Jawad.

Mayank Agarwal would like to put last year's loss in the final behind them. They had finished at the top of the points table in the league stage but had a poor outing in the final. The side will look to put up a good show in the opening game and set the script for the rest of the tournament.  

Mayank Agarwal is a prolific scorer and will look to do well opening the batting with Dega Nischal. In the middle order, they will need runs from Rishi Bopanna, Suraj Ahuja, and Jeswath Acharya. Pawan Deshpande and Aman Khan must do the heavy lifting in the final overs of the innings.  

Abhimanyu Mithun is an experienced bowler, and he must strike early along with Shubhang Hegde to put the Mystics under pressure. Vidyadhar Patil and Abhishek Ahlawat will look to bowl tight spells in the middle overs and keep the scoring rate under check. Deshpande has an important role to play as the 5th bowler.

M. Chinnaswamy Stadium, Bengaluru, has always been a good hunting ground for the batsmen as a fast outfield and shorter boundaries have aided them. Fast bowlers do well with the new ball.
