Salt Pond Breakers to win this game!
Tournament: Vincy Premier League T10 | Format: T10 | Venue: Arnos Vale Sporting Complex, St. Vincent | Toss: To Bat
Bet NowIt’s the start of the new league and Grenadines Divers would be taking on the Salt Pond Breakers in the first game of the Vincy Premier League 2020. It will be an interesting game both sides are coming into the game with some of the most promising young talents who have done well in the shorter format of the game.
The T10 format of the game would add an additional dimension of interest as the batsmen will need to go all out. Salt Pond Breakers with their long tail thanks to the army of all-rounders would be able to play free and fearless cricket. It will be interesting to see how the Grenadines Divers apply themselves on the pitch as they will be up against a very strong side.
Obed McCoy the captain and marquee player for the side would be hoping for a good start to the season. He is leading a young side and would be hoping for these players to set the ball rolling in the very first game.
As far as batting is concerned the side would be expecting good start from Asif Hooper and Shem Browne at the top. Anson Latchman the wicket-keeper batsman has also earned a strong reputation and is one player to watch out. McCoy will bring in his experience to the middle order and look at making good contributions alongside Tijorn Pope and Wayne Harper.
In terms of their bowling attack, the side would look forward to Ajex Samuel and Richie Richards offering them a good start with the ball. The likes of Pope, Geron Wyllie, and McCoy will need to keep things tight from their end during the middle overs.

Sunil Ambris would go into this game with a great deal of confidence as he is leading a side that has some very existing players in the team. Ambris would know the importance of a good start in the first game Rickford Walker and Ambris will need to provide the side with a good start in the game being the most experienced players for the side. In Donwell Hector they have a good batsman in the middle. Jeremy Layne, Benninton Stapleton, and Kadir Nedd complete a good batting line-up for the side.
Delorn Johnson will look to provide his side the best start with the ball being one of the leading bowlers for the side. Christoy John and Kevin Peters will be looking to do well with the ball for the side in this game. Javid Harry is another good bowling prospect for the side completing a strong bowling line-up.

St. Vincent would see clear skies on May 22 and it would be a warm morning which is likely to make the conditions good for batting. The pitch has been a good one to bat on as we have seen in the regional games. The side batting first will have to eye a score of 120 plus to feel comfortable on this surface.
Arnos Vale Sporting Complex, St. Vincent is the perfect venue for limited-overs cricket with the small size of the park making it easy for the batsmen to hit the ball. There is some assistance for the bowlers in the initial overs but by and large, it is a good surface for the batsmen.
It is a T10 game and in the past, we have seen teams batting first win the majority of the games after putting up a big score on the board. With the pitch expected to be a good one to bat on, we expect the side winning the toss to bat first on this surface.
It is the first game of the season and both the sides would start fresh in this battle. It’s a new format and most of the players aren’t used to playing such short formats and this will make the game all the more interesting. It is neck and neck between the two sides at the moment but we expect the Salt Pond Breakers with their depth in batting and bowling to start nose ahead of the Grenadines Divers in this game.
