Hampshire and Somerset will lock horns in the first semifinal game of 2021 Vitality T20 Blast competition played at Edgbaston Cricket Ground in Birmingham.

In the 2nd Quarterfinal game, Hampshire managed to eke out a close win over Nottinghamshire, courtesy splendid performances from Tom Prest, James Fuller and Liam Dawson. Captain James Vince will be hoping that the side can raise their game with bat and ball in this semifinal game.

On the other hand, Somerset registered a comfortable seven-wicket win over Lancashire, courtesy Roelof van der Merwe, Will Smeed, Tom Abell and Tom Lammonby. Captain Lewis Gregory will be hoping that the side can deliver a strong show in this knockout match.

Hampshire Preview

Captain James Vince will need to lead from the front with the bat and deliver a notable score against Somerset.

In the batting department, the side will be relying on the in-form trio of D’Arcy Short, James Vince and Joe Weatherly to deliver the bulk of the runs.
