Srikkanth Anirudha’s side has made a strong start to the tournament winning their first game against the Ruby Trichy Warriors by 4 wickets. Anirudha would be happy with the performance of his bowlers though he would like to see more runs from his top order as they take on one of the strongest teams in the season.  

Srikkanth Anirudha and S Siddharth went out cheaply in the last game and they need to come up with better efforts as they take on a stronger bowling attack. Subramanian Anand and Maan Bafna did well in the middle order. Tushar Raheja was the star of the show in the last game, and he would like to add runs with Suresh Kumar and M Mohammad down the order.  

Aswin Crist shall look to improve his line as he leaked runs with the new ball against the Warriors, but Mohan Prasath looked good. In the middle overs, they would need tight spells from M Mohammad and Bafna. Lakshmi Sathiyannaarayan and R Rajkumar come here with good spells, and this would add to the side’s confidence.

Dindigul Dragons Preview

Hari Nishanth’s side must get its acts together. It has been two losses in three games for the side as they went down by 8 wickets in the last game against the Nellai Royal Kings. Their bowling attack has looked ordinary, and this would be a major concern for the side going into this game against a strong batting line-up.  

Openers Hari Nishanth and Vishal Vaidhya are in excellent form and the pair shall need to deliver a good start to the side here. The middle-order failed in the last game and the side would need runs from Mani Bharathi, R Vivek, and RS Mokit Hariharan. AG Pradeep, Lakshminarayanan Vignesh, and Karaparambil Monish add to the side’s batting strength down the order.   

The bowling attack has failed to deliver so far and there would be a lot of pressure on Rangaraj Suthesh and Lakshminarayanan Vignesh to perform well with the new ball. Karaparambil Monish and M Silambarasan must take advantage of the conditions and bowl tight lines. S Arun and Vivek add to their bowling options, and they will need to deliver the goods here.

The skies over Dindigul would be slightly cloudy on July 4 and we expect to see a flat and hard surface where the batsmen would be able to play their strokes. There won’t be much on this track for the bowlers and the side batting first would have to aim at a score of 180 runs to win here. 

Venue Details

NPR College Ground, Dindigul is a small venue, and batsmen have done well here. The wicket is flat, and the outfield is fast allowing batsmen to play their strokes. Fast bowlers struggle on this surface, but we have seen the spinners do well here in the past.

It has been an excellent surface to chase scores as we have seen in the two games already played here. There is little on this track for the bowlers and hence the side winning the toss shall look to take advantage of the conditions and opt for bowling first in the game.
