India are on the verge of a clean sweep in the T20 leg of the home series against West Indies. Having won the first two games of the T20 series with utmost ease India looks set to make it 3-0.

West Indies have a win and tie in ODIs to show for their efforts on the one and half month-long tour of India. In T20Is though they have been completely off color.

One of the reasons for that has been one man, Rohit Sharma. He scored another century in the second match against West Indies to it make four T20I hundreds - the most by any player - surpassing Colin Munro.

INDIA PREVIEW

India’s home dominance continues in the series against West Indies. They have already won the Test, ODI and ongoing T20 series. They are looking to make the final blow in the third and last T20I against West Indies.

India had a bit of a scare on the first T20 despite chasing just 104. But cameos from Dinesh Karthik, Manish Pandey and the debutant Krunal Pandya saw them through. Krunal Pandya’s uncomplicate approach in crunch situation was a plus for India.

Second T20I though belong to Rohit Sharma and his calculated nerveless 4th T20I century. It does not ever look like he is trying to impose himself on the game and yet by the end of it he ends up with a strike rate of 180. It is mind boggling.

In the last T20I India might look to have Rishabh Pant make some runs up the order. After replacing MS Dhoni in the squad, he has not yet done anything substantial yet with the bat despite getting a couple of chances. Also, India are resting Umesh, Kuldeep and Bumrah.

WEST INDIES PREVIEW

West Indies must be hurting. They are defending T20 champions, they have many T20 match winners – sadly, some of whom are not a part of this T20 squad, their players are key players in most of the world’s famous T20 franchise and yet, they have lost 80% of the T20Is they played this year. West Indies are missing a few key players in Chris Gayle, Evin Lewis and Andre Russel. These players can turn the matches on its head single handedly but it’s a pity there are not playing.

The West Indies board needs to take the blame for this fiasco as much the players. They need to take the blame to not being able to put the best West Indies team on the field on an international tour.

Despite all this, West Indies are going to have to find some match winners from the players that are playing. Shimron Hetmyer should look to stay longer on the field while the makeshift openers, Shai Hope and Ramadin should look the give them a solid foundation.

Weather Conditions

There has been only one T20I played at MA Chidambaram Stadium before. That was a close content that India lost against New Zealand by just one run.

The conditions here are expected to be flat for limited overs cricket and the match should be a high scoring one. The teams winning the toss should try chase on this ground. Dew should be considered before making that decision though.
