England now have two consecutive wins in the series as they won the last ODI of the 3-match ODI series. The second T20I will be played at the same venue on the 7th of March 2019.

Winning the toss bowling first, India stared of badly conceding 89 runs in the 12th over before they could pick their first wicket. India could not stop the juggernaut as England built on the strong foundation to get to 160 losing just 4 wickets thanks to a quickfire 40 by the captain Heather Knight. Shikha Pandey and Poonam Yadav bowled economically whereas Radha Yadav got a couple of wickets. In the chase, failure of top 4 batters so far behind in the game that they never looked like getting over the line.

England looked like world beaters in the first T20 international against India. It was a complete performance where the openers set the game for the middle order to build upon. Bowlers had a good day in the field too that resulted in a massive win against the hosts by 41 runs.

England lost a good toss and were asked to bat first. Daniel Wyatt and Tammy Beaumont got going immediately and put on 89 for the first wicket. More importantly at a brisk pace. Captain Heather Knight at the back end of the innings provided the momentum with 40 of 20 balls to help England close on 160 by the 20 overs. Burnt and Smith broke the back of India’s chase to have them 23 for 3 by the 4th over.

England did not ever allow India Women to come back in the game. England tried 6 bowlers in the process and all did well against the Indian middle order that looked like crawling all the time. England would be hoping to close the series in the second T20I.
