Ireland scored 195 runs off 40.2 overs before rain came to end the match prematurely. William Porterfeld (63 runs) and Andrew Balbirnie (65 runs) scored fifties and laid the foundation for their innings for the lower order to take charge. Harry Tector was untimely dismissed for 25 while Mark Adair looked all set to shift gears with a couple of sixes.
