Netherlands Women have lost all the eight games they have played so far against Ireland Women, and this is a huge mental obstacle for them to overcome. It will be interesting to see if they are able to win their first game against the strong Irish side and level the series setting up a decider in the last game.

Laura Delany’s side had made a promising start to the series winning the first game comfortably by 28 runs. They batted well in the game to set up a big score and defended it successfully. Delany would be aware of the kind of pressure in the opposition camp and shall look to exploit it to her advantage. 

Openers Rebecca Stokel and Gaby Lewis need to provide a strong start as they missed out in the first game. Delany played a brilliant known and shall look to stitch partnerships with Shauna Kavanagh and Eimear Richardson. In Lara Maritz and Orla Prendergast, they have good finishers to follow.  

Ava Canning and Orla Prendergast bowled tight lines in the last game, and they’d look to grab early wickets. Sophie MacMahon and Celeste Raack were expensive in the last game, and they have to bowl tighter lines here. In Eimear Richardson, Delany, Lara Maritz and Leah Paul the side has good variety in its attack.

Heather Siegers has a big challenge on her hands as she goes into this game. They had done well with the bat in the first game but threw away the initiative. With the series at stake here the Dutch skipper would want her girls to put up a stiff challenge in this game and win it. 

Frederique Overdijk and Siegers got their starts in the last game, and they have to concert them into big scores. Same was the case with the middle order where Babette de Leede, Miranda Veringmeier and Robine Rijke didn’t finish things off and have to put up better performances here. The side would also look for a good show from Eva Lynch and Iris Zwilling. 

Their bowlers struggled in the last game and the side would expect a good show from Iris Zwilling and Isabel van der Woning with the new ball as they leaked runs in the last game. They have good variety in the attack with Siegers, Lynch and Frederique Overdijk in the side and have to make a strong comeback in this series.
