Ireland Women to win
Tournament: Scotland Women tour of Ireland 2021 | Format: T20 | Venue: Civil Service Cricket Club | Toss: To Bat
Bet NowIt has been a competitive series so far with the two teams tied on 1-1 after two games. Scotland Women had surprised their hosts to win the first game defending a very low total but Ireland Women made a strong comeback in the second game to win it by 61 runs in what would surely bring back the confidence in the camp.
Ireland Women have always been a tough side to beat at home and they proved their critics wrong with the quality cricket they played in the last game. They dominated the visitors in all departments of the game in the last match and shall be looking to continue with the same momentum. It remains to be seen which of the sides is able to manage an unassailable lead by winning the next game.
Laura Delany would be exited with the kind of performance her side put up in the last game after the shameful loss in the first game. Their batters did a good job on a difficult wicket and the bowlers complemented it by never allowing the Scotts to get back into the game. With momentum on her side Delany would be looking to make it 2-1 with a win here.
Openers Rebecca Stokel and Gaby Lewis would look to provide a strong start and Lewis would be confident after her show in the last game. Delany has missed out in both the games and needs to fire here. Shauna Kavanagh, Orla Prendergast and Lara Maritz scored runs in the last game and make this a very formidable batting line-up.
Ava Canning and Orla Prendergast bowled with lot of heart in the last game and a similar show would be expected from them here. Leah Paul stole the show with her impressive spell and shall look to repeat the same magic. Lara Maritz, Celeste Raack and Delany add variety to this attack.

Kathryn Bryce’s side is struggling with its batting. Though her bowlers did pull off an excellent win from the jaws of defeat in the first game it was poor batting that cost them the second game. The side will have to gather its confidence back as they go into this series deciding game.
Openers Sarah Bryce and Becky Glen are in poor form and the side needs to see a good start from them here. In the middle order Bryce, Katie McGill and Ailsa Lister have thrown away their starts and need to put runs on the board. The same would be expected from Priyanaz Chatterji and Katherine Fraser who are known for being good hitters down the order.
Their bowling attack has looked good so far in the series and Fraser and Bryce would be expected to strike early in this game. McGill and Abtaha Maqsood have also bowled tight lines and the same would be expected from them here. Chatterji and Samantha Haggo need to provide good support in this game.

There would be slight cloud cover over Belfast on May 26 and it would be the best conditions we have seen so far in the series. Batting is expected to be easier than what we have seen so far and batters would be able to play their strokes. The side that bats first here would be happy with a score in excess of 120 runs.
Civil Service Cricket Club, Belfast is a small park and the square boundaries are shorter here. Fast bowlers have done well on this surface as the new ball tends to move around. Batters have to hold their ground and focus on accumulating runs here. The pitch doesn’t offer much of turn to the spinners and they have to use their variations well.
In the two games so far the side chasing the score has gone on to lose the game. The pitch has deteriorated as the game has progressed and made conditions favorable for the bowlers and hence the side that wins the toss is likely to opt for batting first on this surface.
Scotland Women would be under pressure heading into this game. They have batted poorly in both the games so far and none of their batters in the top order has been able to score runs. Ireland Women on the other hand bounced back in the last game. They have a strong batting line-up and knowledge of the conditions and this would make them favorites in this game.
