00.0Scotland Women’s battle to level the series
Ireland Women to win
Tournament: Scotland Women tour of Ireland 2021 | Format: T20 | Venue: Civil Service Cricket Club | Toss: To Bat
Bet NowThe script in the third game of the 4-match series was almost a repeat of what had happened in the previous game. Ireland Women put up a good total on the board and made the visitors struggle during the chase. Scotland Women saw their innings folding for only 93 runs handing over a 41-run win to the hosts.
Scotland Women would be under great pressure going into this game. Their batters have been in extremely poor form so far and the side hasn’t managed to reach three figures in any of the game so far. Ireland Women on the other hand have looked in murderous form in the last two games and it would need a special performance from the Scotts to win this game.
Laura Delany would be pleased to have taken an unassailable 2-1 lead in the last game. After their poor show in the opening game the side has done well in the last two matches. They have now pushed Scotland Women into a corner and going into the next game Delany would look to win the series 3-1.
Openers Rebecca Stokell and Gaby Lewis got starts in the last game and shall look to put up a big stand here. In Delany, Orla Prendergast and Shauna Kavanagh they have players in good form and they would look to build partnerships. Lara Maritz and Leah Paul add lot of strength to the side down the order.
Ava Canning and Orla Prendergast have impressed with their new ball show in the last three games and the side would need similar spells from them at the start of the game. Leah Paul and Cara Murray also picked wickets in the last game bowling tight spells. The side draws its strength from the depth in bowling with Delany, Celeste Raack and Maritz in the side.

Kathryn Bryce would be upset with the performance of her batters in this series. For the third game in a row they were found wanting as they failed to build partnerships. As the side goes into the last game Bryce would be hoping to see a more spirited performance from her players that help them level the series.
Openers Sarah Bryce and Becky Glen have to break from their poor form and score runs in this game. Bryce batted well in the last game and she would have to do so here and build partnerships with Megan McColl and Katie McGill in the middle order. Priyanaz Chatterji and Abbi Aitken Drummond haven’t fired yet in the series and runs would be expected from them.
Bryce and Becky Glen shall need to bowl tight spells at the start as they have allowed the Irish side to get off to a good start so far. Katie McGill and Abtaha Maqsood would have a very important role to play in this game being the best bowlers of the side. They would also need tight overs from Fraser, McColl and Chatterji in this game.

There would be cloud cover on May 27 over Belfast and we have seen the pitch become slower as the series has progressed. We expect to see a slow surface in the next game where batters would have to make adjustments. 120 runs or more would be a winning score on this surface.
Civil Service Cricket Club, Belfast is a small ground and the square boundaries are short. Fast bowlers do well with the new ball as they can extract movement off the surface. Batters have to hold their ground and play to the merit of the ball. Spinners need to use their variations to do well at this venue.
In all the three games so far the side batting first has won the game. The pitch hasn’t been the best to bat on as the game has progressed. Thus we believe the side that wins the toss here would have no hesitation in batting first.
Scotland Women have fared poorly with the bat in all the three games. None of their batters have been consistent so far and this is something they would need to work on if they wish to level the series. Ireland Women have played to their potential in the last two games and have momentum on their side and this makes them favorites to win here and take the series 3-1.
