Jaffna Kings have continued their impressive run and deserve to be second on the points table with their performances. After a near-perfect game in the last match, they will be looking to carry on with the momentum and win the last game of the league stage before going into the qualifiers.

After batting first, Jaffna Kings posted 170 runs, losing 8 wickets. After a brisk start by the openers, Afif Hossain played a brilliant knock of 54 off 35 balls, to help them achieve that Target. Thisara Perera also chipped in with a valuable contribution towards the end, rounding off a good batting display.

The bowling department ensured there were no slip ups, as they defended the score quite comfortably. They picked up 3 wickets in the powerplay, making the job very easy. James Fuller and Vijayakanth Viyaskanth picked up 2 wickets each, but the star of the show was Binura Fernando who ended up with 3 wickets.

After a dominating performance in their previous encounter to this, Colombo Stars fell flat with a completely opposite performance to that. With the qualifiers coming up, these are not the performances they would want to put up. 

Batting first, Colombo Stars were blown apart by Kandy Falcons. They got bowled out for a mere 106 runs. There was nothing to take note off as, the batsmen just kept coming and going. However, Angelo Matthews tried to salvage some pride and take Colombo to a respectable score, himself scoring 41 off 38 balls, but lacked support from his team.

The bowling department had a very small total to defend, which they could not. Kandy Falcons lost an early wicket, but that was it. The bowlers couldn't manage to pick up another wicket after that, and succumbed to a 9-wicket loss. . There was not great from the bowlers too, but Jeffrey Vandersay and Benny Howell were quite economical. The rest of the bowling was simply disappointing.
