The Knights would be taking on the Titans in the 10th game of CSA T20 Challenge 2022. It has been a poor start to the season for the Knights and they have lost both their games and come here with a loss against the Dolphins. The Titans on the other hand registered their first win of the season against the Rocks.  

Knights’ batsmen are in poor form and the side could manage only 95 runs in their 20 overs in the last game. They will have to break out of this to win here. The Titans would look to exploit the opportunity here and it remains to be seen if Knights can come up with a better performance in this game.

Pite van Biljon’s side finds itself pushed to a corner at the start of the series. The side has suffered two massive losses and went down by 8 wickets in their last game against North West. Their batsmen could manage only 94 runs in the last game. Pite van Biljon would want his batsmen to do well in this game. 

Patrick Kruger and Raynard van Tonder must deliver a good start to the side in this game and score runs at a healthy strike rate. In the middle order Jacques Snyman, Farhaan Behardien and van Biljon will have to build partnerships. The side would also expect quick runs from Mangaliso Mosehle and Jason Raubenheimer down the order. 

Migael Pretorius and Gerald Coetzee will have to come up with better spells than they have done so far in the two games.  In the middle overs, Gregory Mahlokwana and Alfred Mothoa shall have to bowl good lines. The side would also like to see Jacques Snyman do well in this game with the ball.

Titans Preview

After a poor start that saw them lose their first game, Theunis de Bruyn’s side registered its first win defeating the Rocks by 3 runs. It was a good comeback by their bowlers where quick wickets in the final stages of the game helped them win it. The side would look to maintain the momentum and win this game.  

Quinton de Kock and Gihahn Cloete set up a 106 run stand in the last game and they would look to continue with the same form. Theunis de Bruyn, Donavon Ferreira and Henrich Klassan add strength to the middle order for the side. In  Sibonelo Makhanya and Ayabulela Gqamane they have good hitters to follow. 

Donavon Ferreira and Aaron Phangiso shall look to strike early in this game as the Knights have struggled with the bat. Tabraiz Shamsi is an experienced bowler and the side would like to see tight spells from him and Lizzad Williams in the middle overs. Junior Dala and Ayabulela Gqamane add strength to this attack.

The skies over Port Elizabeth would have cloud cover on February 12. The wicket would offer swing and seam movement to the fast bowlers. Batsmen would have to play with caution on this track. The side batting first in the game would be happy to reach a score of 160 runs.

Venue Details

St George's Park, Port Elizabeth is one of the best venues for fast bowlers. Batsmen have to build their innings and rotate the strike to do well on this track. Spinners don’t see much assistance from the track and they have to mix their line and length to get wickets.

The wicket has looked tough for batting and we have seen sides chasing the score win more games so far in the tournament. Setting a score on this track is a massive challenge and the side winning the toss would bowl first in all likelihood.
