Bet NowDefending champions Karachi Kings would be taking on Islamabad United in the 6th game of the PSL. Both the sides come here after having won their respective opening games of the season. While the Karachi Kings registered an impressive win against the Quetta Gladiators, Islamabad United did manage to win against the Multan Sultans after lots of hiccups with the bat.
In the last season Karachi Kings had won both the games against Islamabad United and this would give them lot of confidence. Despite their win Islamabad United looked rusty in the last game and will have to overcome this. Karachi Kings are known or playing tough cricket on the ground and it would be interesting to see if Islamabad United is able to put up a good fight in this game.
Imad Wasim would be happy with the performance his side put up in the last game against the Quetta Gladiators. They were good with the ball dismissing their opponents for a small total and with the bat the side managed a great show. Wasim would like his side to carry forward this momentum into the next game.
Sharjeel Khan missed out in the last game and shall look to put up a good opening stand with Babar Azam who looks in good form. In the middle order Joe Clarke, Colin Ingram and Mohammad Nabi played well in the last game and a similar show would be expected from them in this game. They have good firepower down the order with Daniel Christian and Imad Wasim in the side.
Mohammad Amir was brilliant with the new ball and so was Imad Wasim. This pair would pose a challenge for Islamabad United in this game. Christian and Arshad Iqbal too bowled tight spells and they would be carrying this confidence into the next game. With Aamer Yamin, Nabi and Waqas Maqsood in the attack they have variety of options with the ball.

Shadab Khan’s side started on the right note in the tournament with a 3-wicket win against the Multan Sultans in the last game. This win would give the side lot of confidence but there are issues that still remain especially with their batting performance. They had lost both their games against the Kings last season and would have to come up with e better show here.
Philip Salt and Alex Hales did get starts in the last game but the side would look for a big stand from them in this game. In the middle order Shadab Khan, Asif Ali, Hussain Talat and Iftikhar Ahmed batted poorly in the last game and a good show would be expected from them here. Lewis Gregory and Faheem Ashraf put up a match winning stand in the last game and this would give the side lot of confidence down the order.
Their bowlers did a good job in the last game where Hasan Ali and Mohammad Wasim Jr stood up for their good show. The side would be expecting a good show with the new ball from Faheem Ashraf who went for few runs at the start. Gregory and Shadab Khan also impressed in the game and with Zafar Gohar to support them, the side has good strength with the ball.

Karachi would see clear skies on February 24 and it would be a warm evening to begin with. The track is slow and hence the batsmen would have to be watchful of the strokes they play in this game. The side batting first in this game would be happy to put up a target of more than 160 runs.
National Stadium Karachi does have a good wicket tough we have seen a slow one in this tournament so far. It is a tough venue for the fast bowlers and they have to mix their length and pace to earn rewards on this surface. Spinners do enjoy bowling here as there is good turn on offer.
Three games in this tournament so far as seen the side winning the game chasing. We haven’t seen big scores yet in this season and the slow nature of the surface has created problems for the batsmen. The side that wins the toss would have little hesitation in opting to bowl first at this venue.
Islamabad United has several areas to attend as far as their batting is concerned. They won the last game due to the heroics of their lower middle order and need to come up with a better show at the top. As far as Karachi Kings are concerned they have all the bases covered as of now with their key players doing well. Based on form and skills the Kings would start as favorites in this game.
