Tournament: Pakistan Super League 2021 | Format: T20 | Venue: National Stadium, Karachi, Pakistan | Toss: To Bowl
Bet NowIt is a big contest coming up in the Pakistan Super League as the Karachi Kings take on the Peshawar Zalmi. Karachi Kings lost their last game against the Lahore Qalandars and would be looking to bounce back in this one. Peshawar Zalmi is enjoying a great run and defeated Islamabad United in their previous game and shall look to carry on with the same momentum.
In the last season Karachi Kings had won both the games against Peshawar Zalmi and this would give them lot of confidence. They have a very strong batting line-up and shall expect to exploit Zalmi’s out of form bowling attack. Given the strengths in the two sides we expect this one to be a tight contest.
Imad Wasim’s side has won two out of their four games so far in the tournament but the skipper would be looking for more consistency from his team in this game. They went down against the Lahore Qalandars in the last game due to poor bowling towards the end. Given the form the Karachi Kings are in at the moment they will have to be at their best to win this game.
Sharjeel Khan and Babar Azam have done well so far at the top and the side would be expecting a good start from them. The middle order also looks in good form with Colin Ingram, Mohammad Nabi and Joe Clarke having been among runs in the previous games. Imad Wasim would look to up the score for the side alongside Daniel Christian who has played well in recent games.
Mohammad Amir has looked good so far and the side would need him to strike early along with Mohammad Ilyas. In Waqas Maqsood, Arshad Iqbal and Mohammad Nabi the side has good depth in its bowling attack. Daniel Christian would need to make good use of his experience in this game.

Three wins in a row has propelled Wahab Riaz’s side to the top of the charts on the points table and the skipper would be happy with the way the side has been dominating its opponents. They won the last game against Islamabad United comfortably but would be aware of the challenge that Karachi Kings pose and look to carry the momentum and win in this game.
Openers Kamran Akmal and Imam-ul-Haq missed out in the last game but they have scored runs earlier and look to do the same here. In the middle order Tom Kohler-Cadmore, Shoaib Malik and Haider Ali did well in the last game and add strength to the side. Sherfane Rutherford and Wahab Riaz with their hitting abilities make this line-up formidable.
Riaz is bowling well and he will look to strike early in the game along with Mujeeb-ur-Rahman in this game. Mohammad Imran has done exceptionally well so far and the side would need him to continue with his good form. Saqib Mahmmod shall have to make good use of the conditions here.

The skies over Karachi would be clear on March 03 and we expect the wicket to be a good one to bat on. It has been flat so far and this has allowed batsmen to play their strokes without any fear. The side that bats first here would need a score of 180 runs to feel comfortable on this surface.
National Stadium Karachi is one of the best batting surfaces in the world and we have seen batsmen score lots of runs at this venue in the past. Fast bowlers have had a tough time on this surface as there is little for them but this has been a happy hunting ground for the spinners with the ball taking sharp turn.
Toss has perhaps become the most relevant thing in this edition of the Pakistan Super League. In the 11 games played so far no side has won the game batting first. Hence we expect the side winning the toss to invite the opposition to bat and try and restrict them to a small total.
Both the sides have done well so far in the tournament and hence this is expected to be a tough contest. Peshawar Zalmi has looked great with the batting but on the bowling front they have not been up to the mark. Karachi Kings have a more experienced side and will have the crowds cheering for them and this is expected to give them slight edge going into this contest.
