They won just one game last year, and Imad Wasim, who takes over the side's captaincy, shall look to put that disappointment behind them. They have gone for a new-look squad for this season, and exciting players have joined the camp. It will be a tough game, and Wasim would like to get the monkey off their backs with a win.  

Sharjeel Khan has been a constant performer for the team, and he will like to set up a big opening wicket stand with Adam Rossington in this game. Tayyab Tahir will have an important role at No. 3, and he must add runs with Shoaib Malik and Matthew Wade. The side will expect runs down the order from Imad Wasim and Muhammad Irfan.  

Mohammad Amir is the spearhead of this attack, and he needs to strike early in the game with Aamir Yamin. Imran Tahir has lots of experience, and the side would like to see tight spells from him in the middle overs. Muhammad Musa and Wasim complete a strong bowling attack for the team.

Peshawar Zalmi Preview

Babar Azam comes in as the skipper this season and will look to lead from the front. The side has retained some of its best performers from the last season, making them strong. They have enjoyed a good record against the Kings in the past, and Azam would like to build on this dominance and earn the first points this season.  

Babar Azam and Tom Kohler-Cadmore form a strong pair at the top. They will look to deliver a good start to the side. In the middle order, they have Mohammad Harris, Harris Sohail, and Bhanuka Rajapaksa, who will look to build partnerships. The side will also like quick runs from Aamer Jamal and James Neesham, as both these players can hit the ball hard.  

Wahab Riaz brings vast experience to the table, and he will look to get early wickets by sharing the new ball with Mujeeb Ur Rahman. Usman Qadir did well last year for the side and will have an important role in the middle overs. Aamer Jamal, Arshad Iqbal, and Neesham make it a strong bowling attack.

Karachi will see clear skies on February 14, and it will be a warm and comfortable evening. The surface will be slow, as we have seen in the past. Batsmen need to be careful on this track. The side batting first in this game shall be happy to have 170 runs on the board.

National Stadium Karachi is one of the best batting surfaces in the world and we have seen batsmen score lots of runs at this venue in the past. Fast bowlers have had a tough time on this surface as there is little for them, but this has been a happy hunting ground for the spinners with the ball taking sharp turn.

Defending totals on Asian tracks is never easy. There would be the dew factor that both teams have to keep in mind. Batting will be relatively easy in the second innings of the game. The side winning the toss here shall look to bowl first in this game and restrict the opponents to a small total.
