Kings XI Punjab rely heavily on their opening duo of KL Rahul and Mayank Agarwal in the batting department. Nicholas Pooran looks good for his cameos in last 2 matches but other middle order batsmen need to score more runs to help their team. They have a long batting line-up with batsmen till No.8.

Bowling has been Punjab`s biggest worry as they have given 190+ runs in last 2 matches. Sheldon Cottrell and Mohammed Shami have been excellent with the new ball but are struggling in the death overs. Spinners K Gowtham and Ravi Bishnoi needs to be used wisely by the skipper by finishing their 8 overs inside 15-16 overs.

Mayank Agarwal – Mayank has set their batting department on fire this season with scores of 89, 26, 106, & 25 so far. He is scoring at a rate of 150+ easily in the matches. We expect Mayank to continue his good form at the top.

CSK failed to chase down the total in the third consecutive match. Their top order were reduced to 42/4 early in the match against SRH. Ravindra Jadeja (50 runs) and MS Dhoni (47* runs) tried their best with the bat but left too many for the end. CSK need to bat more sensibly in the first 5-6 overs to score more runs.

CSK bowlers failed to capitalize on the match from 69/4 with their top-4 back in the hut. They leaked 64 runs in the last 5 overs and fielding was a big worry with dropped catches and misfields. Deepak Chahar picked up 2 wickets while Piyush Chawla and  Shardul Thakur picked up a wicket each.
