Shaheen Afridi's side would have liked to enter the playoffs with momentum. But the side experimented and went down by 86 runs in their last game. Afridi, who missed the last game, will return to lead the team. He will expect a professional effort from his players as they take on one of the strongest outfits in this tournament.  

Fakhar Zaman has been in excellent form, and he needs to set up a solid foundation, opening the batting with Abdullah Shafique. Kamran Ghulam and Sam Billings come here in form, and the side would like to see them build partnerships with Sikandar Raza. David Weise, Rashid Khan, and Afridi add depth to this batting line-up, making it strong.  

The bowling attack will face a stiff challenge as they take on a strong batting line-up. The side will need good spells from Zaman Khan and Afridi in this game with the new ball. Rashid Khan adds an X-factor to this attack, and he will look to bowl tight lines in the middle overs with Haris Rauf. Raza and Wiese add strength to this attack.

Multan Sultans Preview

Mohammad Rizwan's side comes here with a 9-run win against the Quetta Gladiators. It was an excellent show by their batsmen in the last game, as they scored 262 runs. However, the bowling attack struggled. They face a massive test against the Qalandars, and Rizwan would like to see a better show from his bowlers in this game.  

Usman Khan played an electrifying knock in the last game, and he would like to set up a big stand with Mohammad Rizwan at the top. Rilee Rossouw is in good form and strengthens the middle order with Tim David and Pollard. They will need quick runs down the order from Khushdil Shah and Anwar Ali.  

The bowling attack took a beating in the last game. The side will expect a better show with the new ball from Anwar Ali and Khushdil Shah. Ihsanullah has performed consistently and needs to do well, along with Izharulhaq Naveed. Abbas Afridi, Tim David, and Usama Mir must do well in the supporting act.

The skies over Lahore would be absolutely clear on March 15. We expect hot and humid conditions and a flat surface where the ball would come onto the bat nicely. Batsmen will be able to score easily. The side batting first would have to target a score of more than 180 runs.

Gaddafi Stadium, Lahore, is a more challenging surface for batters than in Rawalpindi and Karachi. Batsmen who play to the merit of the ball have done well here. Fast bowlers have struggled on this track, but spinners enjoy the conditions and have a good record.
