Shahrukh Khan’s side had been knocked out in the Eliminator game last year by the Dindigul Dragons. The side lacked consistency throughout the season and Khan would like to see a better show from his players as they start their campaign against the same opponent. They have a stronger bowling attack this year and the Kovai Kings skipper would like to capitalize on it here.  

The side would be looking for a strong start from Ganga Sridhar Raju and Suresh Kumar as both these players had enjoyed a good run last season. Khan is the mainstay of this batting line-up, and he will have to deliver the good in the middle order with Sai Sudharsan and U Mukilesh. S Ajith Ram is a good finisher, and the side would want to see him score quick runs in this game.  

T Natarajan brings experience to this attack, and he would aim to grab early wickets sharing the new ball with Abhishek Tanwar. N Selva Kumaran and U Mukilesh will be tasked with bowling well in the middle overs as they take on a good batting side. The Kings have depth in their bowling with Valliappan Yudheeswaran and R Divakar in the team.

Dindigul Dragons Preview

It wasn’t the kind of start that Hari Nishanth would have expected. The side was completely outplayed by the Ruby Trichy Warriors going down by 8 wickets. Their strong batting line-up failed to deliver on a good batting surface and the bowlers also lacked teeth. Having got used to the conditions Nishanth would like his players to bounce back and get their first points of the tournament.  

Hari Nishanth got a start in the last game, and he will look to set up a good opening wicket stand with AG Pradeep here. Mani Bharathi and Vishal Vaidhya shall need to convert their starts in this contest. The side has depth in the batting with RS Mokit Hariharan, R Vivek, Lakshminarayanan Vignesh, and Karaparambil Monish being good hitters of the ball.  

Rangaraj Suthesh and Lakshminarayanan Vignesh shall look to strike with the new ball after failing to do so in the last game. Nishanth looked good in the last game, and this would add to the side’s confidence. They would also like to see tight bowling from M Silambarasan and Manoj Kumar in this game.
