Delhi Capitals takes on the Lucknow Super Giants in the 15th game of the Indian Premier League 2022. It will be an important game for both sides. Delhi after their loss against the Gujarat Titans would be searching for a win here to get their campaign back on track. Super Giants on the other hand shall look to drive the momentum forward as they come here with a win against Sunrisers Hyderabad.
Delhi Capitals would field their strongest team of the season with David Warner and Anrich Nortje expected to play the game. This would strengthen the side considerably in both departments. Lucknow Super Giants have struggled with the consistency of their middle order, and they will need to get it right to defeat the Delhi Capitals who are likely to play aggressive cricket.
It has been back-to-back wins for KL Rahul’s side and the skipper would be happy with the 12-run win against the Sunrisers Hyderabad. They had their problems in the last game batting fast and being reduced to 27 for 3. Rahul led from the front with the bat and shall like to carry this momentum forward. It would be a massive challenge against Delhi and the Super Giants skipper would want his players to be on their toes.
The opening combination is formidable for the side where Quinton de Kock and Rahul shall aim to provide a solid start in the game. Evin Lewis and Manish Pandey must show more consistency in the middle order. Deepak Hooda looks in good form and he will look to add runs with Ayush Badoni, Krunal Pandya, and Jason Holder down the order.
Their bowlers did an excellent job in the last game with Holder and Pandya putting opponents under pressure with the new ball. The same would be expected from them in this game. Andrew Tye didn’t get his lines right and he must bowl better lines in this game. Avesh Khan is doing well, and the side would like him to restrict the scoring rate in the middle overs along with Ravi Bishnoi.

Rishabh Pant’s side got it all wrong in the last game against Gujarat Titans where they lost by 14 runs. It was a meltdown with the bat for a team that has one of the best batting line-ups for the season. Few of their overseas players are joining the side for this game and Pant would be able to field the strongest team so far in the season. Their opponents have shown good form and Pant would like to see his side excel in this game.
Prithvi Shaw has to do well in this game after ordinary scores so fart and the side’s batting would be strengthened by David Warner’s entry. The middle-order is strong for the side with Pant looking in good form and he will look to build partnerships with Mandeep Singh and Tim Seifert. Axar Patel and Lalit Yadav are good hitters down the order and the side would like to see them excel.
Anrich Nortje would be available in this game and the side would look for a good show from him and Mustafizur Rahman with the new ball. The pair complement each other, and this would add to the side’s confidence. Shardul Thakur needs to bowl good spells after getting his lines wrong in the last game. Kuldeep Yadav and Axar Patel have lots of experience and the side would expect them to trouble Lucknow’s batting.

The weather prediction for Mumbai is for clear skies on April 7 and the conditions would be hot and humid. The pitch is expected to play well and likely to be a good one for batting as we have seen in the past games. The bowlers will have to bowl smartly and the side batting first would like to put up 180 or more on the board.
One of the best T20 venues in India, Dr. DY Patil Sports Academy has been a paradise for batsmen over the years. In this season as well, we have seen batsmen do well. Hitting through the line is easy on this ground as there is little in for the fast bowlers who need to rely on their skills. Spinners have done well as the ball turns sharply on this track.
Both captains would be in a dilemma after the last four games have been won by the sides batting first. In the past, more teams have won by chasing the score at this venue. Big scores have been made at this venue and the side winning the toss is likely to invite the opponents to bat first.
Lucknow Super Giants haven’t been in the best of form this season as far as their middle-order is concerned. They need to improve in this area as the Delhi Capital bowlers are expected to trouble them. DC has its core players coming into the game. They have good balance in the bowling attack, and this would make them favorites to win this game.
