IPL2022 is nearing the crucial phase with every team fighting hard to keep their chances and hopes of qualifying for the next stages alive. LSG are comfortably at the second spot and will look to get more points soon to qualify for the play-offs as soon as possible. KKR on the other hand are struggling at the 8th place and they ended their 5-match losing streak with a victory in the last game against RR. They need to win this match to keep their qualification hopes alive and a loss might push them out of the competition.
Skipper KL Rahul has led their batting unit this season scoring 451 runs with 2 centuries and 2 fifties so far. Quinton De Kock (294 runs) and Deepak Hooda (278 runs) have played some good knocks to provide support at the other end. Ayush Badoni, Krunal Pandya, and Marcus Stoinis have contributed with the bat wherever the opportunity has arrived.
Mohsin Khan was the star of the night with figures of 4-0-16-4 in the close game. Jason Holder, Krunal Pandya, Dushmantha Chameera, and Marcus Stoinis had an off-day leaking run at over 10 RPO in the last game. Ravi bishnoi and K Gowtham chipped in with a wicket each in the aslt game to help them derail the opposition in middle overs.

KKR`s opening woes continue as they slumped to 32/2 in the powerplay with both openers dismissed cheaply. Nitish Rana (48 runs) and Shreyas Iyer (34 runs) re build their innings and kept the chase on track before Rinku Singh`s 23-ball 42 runs took them over the line comfortably. Andre Russell, Sunil Narine, and Anukul Roy form a strong lower order batting unit for KKR.
Umesh Yadav was superb with the ball and finished with figures of 4-1-24-1. Narine and Anukul Roy were very economical and gave just 47 runs in their combined 8 overs. Tim Southee and Shivam Mavi claimed 3 wickes between them but gave runs at a higher economy rate last night.

Pune has bright and sunny weather with very less to no chances of rain on the match day. We expect a full match with no external interruptions. Dew might come in to trouble the bowlers in second innings.
Pune pitch has been assisting the spinners in the middle overs with turn and bounce and it might get slower as the match progresses. We expect average scores to be around 160-180 runs in this match.
Both teams will opt to bat first on this pitch as the pitch will slow down as the match progresses but the dew might tempt the skippers to bowl first.
LSG has excellent depth in their batting and bowling units with a variety of options available at their disposal. They rely heavily on their top-3 for runs in this season so far. KKR`s batting unit has been very unsettled and is changed pretty often in this season. They also lack a good death bowler and spin partner from Narine in this season. We expect LSG to win this match owing to their all-round team balance in batting and bowling departments.
LSG will win the match
