The Super Giants won their last game against the Kolkata Knight Riders to finish 3rd on the points table while the Royal Challengers Bangalore did well against the table-toppers Gujarat Titans to earn their entry into this game. 

This will be a high-pressure contest as the loser of this game would end its run in the tournament. The Royal Challengers had defeated the Super Giants earlier and this would add to their confidence. KL Rahul’s side comes here with a 2-run win against the Kolkata Knight Riders to finish 3rd on the points table. However, Rahul would be slightly upset with the way the side has played in the last few games where we have seen a drop in form, especially from their bowlers. As they head into this high-stakes battle, Rahul would like his players to play well as a unit. They had lost to the Royal Challengers Bangalore earlier in the season and shall look to even it out in this game.  

Quinton de Kock and Rahul set up a record 210-run opening wicket stand in the last game and the side would like them to provide an electrifying start in this game. In the middle order, the side would like to see Marcus Stoinis, Evin Lewis and Deepak Hooda build partnerships. All of them have scored runs and the side would need them to deliver here. Krunal Pandya’s comeback would add to the side’s strength and he will look to add runs with Jason Holder down the order. 

It was a nightmare for the bowlers in the last game as they nearly threw away the game. Jason Holder must make use of his experience and deliver early blows sharing the new ball with Mohsin Khan who impressed against KKR. Pandya will have to bowl well in the middle overs with Avesh Khan and Krishnappa Gowtham and Ravi Bishnoi. Royal Challengers Bangalore Preview

Faf du Plessis’ side would have to thank the Mumbai Indians who pushed the Delhi Capitals out of the contention for playoffs. The side has been inconsistent and has had to depend on the performances of other sides to qualify for the playoffs. They would like to avoid the fate of the last two seasons where they crashed out in the Eliminator. They had defeated the Super Giants in the league phase and du Plessis would want his players to take inspiration from that win. 

Virat Kohli played an important knock in the last game and the side would like to see him excel in what has been a poor season by his standards. He will look to set up a good opening wicket stand with du Plessis. Glenn Maxwell also had a good stay on the pitch, and he will have to take command of the middle order with Rajat Patidar and Mahipal Lomror. Dinesh Karthik has done well, and the side would like to see him score runs with Wanindu Hasaranga and Shahbaz Ahmed. 

Josh Hazlewood will have to strike early sharing the new ball with Mohammad Siraj who is expected to make a comeback here. The LSG openers are in brilliant form and the RBC bowlers must break this partnership.  Hasaranga has been the strongest pillar in this attack and the side would like to see him deliver his best here. Harhsal Patel, Maxwell, and Ahmed haven’t been consistent, and they would need to come up with good spells in this must-win game.
