It is the last round of Group B games in the Vijay Hazare Trophy 2023. Maharashtra will be up against Manipur in the 110th match as they look to qualify for the next round. Maharashtra defeated Chandigarh in their last game and shall look to win here and reach the next round. Manipur lost against Meghalaya, and the side has struggled with its form this season.  

Manipur has lost all five games the side has played, and their players have failed to challenge their opponents. The players lack experience playing at this level and must punch above their weight to win here. Maharashtra has experienced players, and it will be interesting to see if Manipur can pull off a surprise.

Kedar Jadhav's side put up a good show in their last game against Chhattisgarh, winning it by 7 wickets. With this win, the side has moved to the third spot on the points table. It is a must-win game for the team to reach the next round. Jadhav will look for a massive win here to improve their net run rate.  

Om Bhosale hit a hundred in the last game and will look to deliver a good start with Kaushal Tambe. They have good players in the middle order and shall expect a good show from Siddharth Mhatre, Satyajeet Bachhav, and Sachin Bhosale. The side will expect quick runs from Ankit Bawne and Azim Kazi.  

Pradeep Dadhe and Sachin Bhosale must bowl good spells with the new ball like they did in the last game. Manoj Ingale and Satyajeet Bachhav have a crucial role in the middle overs, and the side will expect a good show from them. Azim Kazi and Kedar Jadhav add depth to the attack.

Langlonyamba Keishangbam's side has been through a lot of upsets this season. They had their best chance against Meghalaya in the last game but failed to deliver the goods, losing by 33 runs. They must play out of their skins to win this contest and end the tournament with something to cheer about.  

Prafullomani Singh and Al Bashid Muhammed must deliver a good start for the side to have a chance in this game. The middle order looked good in the last match, and they will need a good show from Kangabam Priyojit Singh, Johnson Singh, and Langlonyamba Keishangbam. Rex Singh and Ahmed Shah must add runs in the lower middle order, as the top order has failed.  

The side will need a good show with the new ball from Bishworjit Konthoujam and  Rex Rajkumar. Spells in the middle overs from Kangabam Priyojit Singh, Bikash Singh, Kishan Thokchom, and L Kishan Singha will be crucial for the side. Sultan Karim must do well in the supporting role.

Weather Conditions

We expect a clear day in Jaipur, and the conditions will be perfect for the game. The surface will be good to bat on, and bowlers will find it challenging on this wicket. The first side batting would target 300 plus to feel comfortable on this surface.

Venue Details

Dr Soni Stadium, Jaipur, is an excellent venue for the batsmen. The wicket has true bounce and pace, allowing batters to hit through the line. The spinners enjoy bowling on this surface as the ball bounces and turns sharply. There isn't much assistance for the fast bowlers unless conditions are perfect.

Toss: To Bat

There would be good batting conditions at the venue. As we have seen in the previous games, the track will slow down in the second half. The side winning the toss would be happy to bat first and have a big on the board.
