Moravian CC’s battle to restore pride against Brno Rangers
Brno Rangers to win
The 29th game of the Czech Republic T10 Super Series, 2020 will see the table toppers Brno Rangers take on the Moravian CC. The Rangers would come into this game with great confidence having won both their games on the opening day. The Moravian CC on the other hand lost both their games and failed to put up any challenge for their opponents.
Most of the players in Moravian CC are inexperienced and they got their first dose of competitive cricket on the opening day. It would be a mental battle for them to get over these losses and play well in the next game. The Rangers would look to stick to their basic game plan which worked for them in the two games they have played.
It was a disastrous day for Vineesh Njarekkattil’s side as they lost both their games on the opening day. They suffered a 69 run loss against the Brno Raptors and lost by 7 wickets against the Brno Raiders. In fact the side registered the lowest score of the tournament getting bowled out for 27 runs against the Raptors. Njarekkattil will need to lift up the mood in the camp for his side to do well.
Their batting looked completely in shambles in the two games. The side will need openers Premprakash Yadav and Anil Paul Manavalan to fire in this game. Om Sharma, Lal Mohan and Syed Abdul Wahab will need to score runs in the middle order where they have failed so far. Dhanushka Sandharuwan and Shrivadiraja Ramamurthy will need to do well down the order considering the form of other batsmen in the side.
Their bowlers were taken to the cleaners in both the games and need to come up with a more competitive performance in this game. Anil Paul Manavalan is the only bowler who looked in good form on the opening day. He will need good support from the likes of Jobi Samuel, Sunil Ambar and Om Sharma for the side to put up a fight.

Naveed Ahmed would be impressed with the performance his side put up in the two games on the first day. They defeated the Brno Rangers by 17 runs in their first game and then ended the day on the perfect note with a 5 wicket win against the Brno Raiders. Ahmed would like his side to carry on with the same for in the next game.
Openers Somesekhar Banerjee and Saquib Sadiq played well and they would be looking to carry on with their same form. In Dylan Steyn, Vikram Padigala and Tripurari Kanhya Lal they have a good middle order. These guys didn’t really fire on the opening day but shall look to make it count in this game. Down the order Ahmed and Ushan Gunathilake shall look to do the hitting in the next game.
Their bowlers were on the spot in both the games with Sandeep Tiwari and Somsuvro Basu picking wickets and giving nothing away. They shall look to carry the same form in this important game. Rahat Ali, Naveed Ahmed and Tripurari Kanhya Lal complete a good bowling line-up for the side.

It will be clear skies over Brno on July 5 while odd clouds are expected to be there. On the first day of the games here the track looked slightly difficult to bat and batsmen found it hard to get adjusted to the pace and bounce on the surface. Bowlers are enjoying the conditions with the ball seaming around. Any score of 80 plus would be a good total in this game.
Brno Cricket Ground is a small park that has a lush green outfield and this makes it difficult for batsmen to score boundaries kissing the surface. But batsmen who play the big shots have done well here. Fast bowlers get good rewards from the surface pitching the ball in the right areas. It is a difficult track for the spinners as there isn’t much assistance for them.
In the four games played so far in this group two games have been won by sides that have batted first. Batting conditions are challenging and it’s a difficult track to set a total. Hence we believe the side that wins the toss would invite the opponents to bat first on this surface.
The two sides are coming into this game with contrasting performances on the opening day of their group games. The Moravian CC didn’t look set for the challenge in both their ties and lost them by huge margins which raise doubts about their talent and skills. The Brno Rangers on the other hand were clinical in both their games and winning them. They definitely look a well-balanced side going into this contest and shall start as overwhelming favorites to win this one.
