It has been the perfect start for Stephen Eskinazi’s side this season. They have won both the games they have played. The side comes here with a 10-run win against the Hampshire Hawks that has put them at the top of the points table for the South Group. Eskinazi would look to build on this momentum and aim for the third consecutive win of the season in this game.  

Stephen Eskinazi and Max Holden have looked in good form and the side would expect to see a good start from them. Joe Cracknell hasn’t scored runs in two games and he will need to deliver in the middle order with Eoin Morgan and Martin Andersson. Jack Davies and John Simpson played match-winning knocks down the order in the last game, and this would add to the team’s confidence as they take on Glamorgan.  

Their bowlers did an excellent job in the last game and the side would like to see tight spells with the new ball from Toby Roland-Jones and Andersson. Luke Hollman picked important wickets towards the end, and he has a key role to play. Blake Cullen and Chris Green make it a strong bowling attack for these conditions.

Glamorgan Preview

David Lloyd’s side bowled poorly in the last game against Surrey to lose the game by 4 wickets. The skipper would be extremely upset with the performance of his bowlers as they failed to defend 173 runs on the board. They take on a confident side in the next game and Lloyd would like to see more determined efforts from his bowlers in this game.  

Sam Northeast looks in good form and he will have to set up a good opening wicket stand with David Lloyd who has missed out in both the games. In Marnus Labuschagne they have an excellent player in the middle order, and he would look to set up important partnerships with Kiran Carlson and Chris Cooke. Daniel Douthwaite and Joe Cooke must do well in the finishers’ role in this game.  

Michael Hogan has done well with the ball in both the games, but the side would need good spells from Michael Neser whose show with the new ball has been poor. Daniel Douthwaite has an important role to play in the middle overs for the side to win. Prem Sisodiya, Labuschagne, and James Weighell will have to produce good spells as they take on a formidable batting line-up.
