Mumbai Indians started the tournament with two losses in their three matches, but they have come back strongly to win the next two matches. Mumbai Indians will be very happy with the fact that different players stood up during different matches. Rohit Sharma and Quinton de Kock had starts of 20s and 30s, but they have a lone fifty between them. Suryakumar Yadav and Krunal Pandya have played responsible knocks whenever the team needs them.

Kieron Pollard`s form with the bat is a big boost for MI as he combines with Hardik Pandya at the death to smash boundaries at will. Alzarri Joseph had a memorable debut taking 6/12 the best IPL bowling figures against SRH. They bundled out SRH for a paltry 96 runs. Jason Behrenndoff and Jasprit Bumrah together will form a formidable pace attack which every team will envy. Krunal pandya and Rahul Chahar will share the spin bowling duties and Chahar has been impressive with his leggies.

Kings XI Punjab are looking good in this tournament and are currently placed third in points table. KL Rahul is playing beautifully and has been in the crease till the end scoring an unbeaten 71 runs last match against SRH. He did the same against the Mumbai Indians the other night too. Mayank Agarwal has been impressive with his stroke play and has upped the scoring rate whenever required. Their middle order looks like their weak link and they are struggling to complete their chases.

They almost screwed the chase in last match against SRH and lost the match against CSK despite having wickets in hand. Skipper Ravi Ashwin has been excellent with the ball this season has taken wickets in every match. Mohammed Shami and Sam Curran are bowling well and contained the batsmen with good bowling spells. The spin department has been a musical chair affair between Murugan Ashwin and Mujeeb Ur Rahman. Andrew Tye and Hardus Viljoin failed to impress their outings and may find themselves out of the playing XI.

Kieron Pollard – Pollard has played two excellent cameos in the last two matches which helped the team to set up a good total on board. Pollard can make below par scores above par with his hitting in the end.

Alzarri Joseph – Joseph set the IPL on fire with his fiery bowling spell of 4-1-12-6 last match. Mumbai pitch will suit his bowling style in the will be a big force in coming matches.
